It did probably also help the longer he waited the more the Titans would outbid themselves.
This little masterstroke honestly doesn't get the recognition it really deserves.

Whoever it was advising him to keep both clubs waiting a little longer literally put a couple of hundred thousand extra dollars in his pocket in the space of just a couple of weeks. Genius move on the part of the Fifita camp.

Often wonder who’s calling the shots.

Wait, so they got PAID by Manly for releasing Aloiai and convinced us that we had to pay so they could have Offa.

We just had our pants pulled down and got a business schooling from one of least professionally run clubs in the NRL.

I'd honestly ask how Paul White manages to sleep at night, but the way he's been operating for the last few years I'm now presuming he's just been literally comatose this entire time.

We wonder why Joffa played 15 games and lost the all. We definitely need a contracts supervisor who can at least match it with the players managers. We truly are the laughing stock of the NRL.

In fact, we actually make for a good case study in how to run a club from the pinnacle into the ground - 'The Burnt Bridges of Brisbane - A Lesson in how not to run a sporting powerhouse'

Are the Broncos allowing filming for one of those documentaries or whatever QLD was meant to get this year?

Probably but they would not have let them into the 'almost weekly' meetings of the Broncos.

Wayne? Dimitriou? Yow Yeh?

Kahu, Macca, McGuire, Glenn, Roberts, Su’a, the old boys, Kev, Offa?

sure, as fans you may or may not be happy about the treatment handed to these players but looking at it from the point of view of employees at a business, why would you not put your own self interest first? The club does, at every turn.
I don’t think you can really say demitreou I’m pretty sure he packed up and left himself because he didn’t get the head coaching job and wanted to and was offered to stay under wayne

He got a pay out from the club from memory. I hope the point I am making isn’t lost on the fact that many of those exits had one reason or another for occurring, or even that some of those exits I am agreeable with (see Seibold and Boyd for perfect examples). The point is, if I put myself in the shoes of a staff member (player) at the company (club) and see such a huge amount of turnover, many before their contracts were completed, I would worry about the stability of my own future at that company.

I'm pretty worried that we don't have much cap space and what we are using it on are players like Mead and Copley. Not exactly the best or most exciting signings..

I'd really like the Broncos to find a Fijian winger like Sivo/Radradra/Vunivalu/Koroibete.. Bring back the days of Lote Tuiqiri on the wing.

If we signed a decent fullback like Allan along with Will Chambers and a big Fijian winger.. Our backline would be fine.

Just look at the Fiji Sevens Rugby team and pick one

1. Corey Allan
2. Aminiasi Tuimaba
3. Will Chambers
4. Kotoni Staggs
5. Xavier Coates

In my opinion, this would give fans a lot more hope.

Signing Mead and Copley are defensive moves.. They are not moves that will actually improve our chances of winning a competition..

It does seem funny to me that clubs can go over to Fiji/Pacific Islands and have no issues finding wingers but the best we can do is development deals that don't go anywhere.

I wouldn't mind a Fijian winger named "The Tornado" lol

Would be great for the Broncos marketing department

Looks like now we are just searching for names that seem familiar. I am waiting for Josh Hoffman to make a come back at fullback for us at this rate.

We signed Vudogo but we never gave him a chance to play in the NRL. I reckon he would have been worth giving a shot. He looks strong.

We are too scared to take risks. Bellamy takes risks with his line ups every year. They are just very well calculated and calibrated risks.

There is a really interesting quote from Chris Fagan, the Brisbane Lions coach who has turned that side from a basket case into a heavyweight and he said something along the lines of:

'A lot of clubs and supporters tend to look at what players can't do, we focus on what players can do and what they would offer to the team and that is what we target.'

I am not saying I agree about Vudogo but all too often the Broncos focus on a hail mary and then if there is a good performance, try and sign a kid up on huge money. They also don't focus on what players can or can't do but on what other clubs offer and / or unproven potential.

How exactly were we negatively impacting him? Why the **** people take the side of an ex-player over their club is beyond me.
Negatively impacting him by churning through coaches every 2-3 years and getting the wooden spoon.

He played two good games and he couldn't make the Souths side for a lot of the year. He was improving but not a chance he was NRL ready.

that was one of the funny things in the Fifita saga ...

watching the Titans effectively bid against themselves. not something a well run club like the Storm or Roosters would do
