I think he’s basically on the same level as Kelly, Gamble, and Roberts. They all have different strengths and weaknesses though all average at about a 5-6/10 player.

My only concern is that with all the options that Kev will fall into the trap of chopping and changing all season. Maybe after a preseason they’ll just let Adam chose the halves partner he wants. 🤷‍♂️

Im not upset about Staggs not moving to 6. He’s probably the best centre in the NRL (not including the guys playing fullback in the regular season). I think Mam has also put that option to rest.
i think Kelly will be 6 and Martin an option mid year if he's performing. Mam will get some game time here and there if he's progressing, and Gamble will be covering halves and lock Walters will cover halves and hooker . No room for Roberts imo

I think I probably agree with you, though I do think it’s unfair on Gamble who was far more consistent than Kelly.

it’s off season so I’ll keep wasting bandwidth with team lists but I’d probably go something like this for round 1:

1. Cobbo
2. Oates
3. Lee
4. Staggs
5. Farnworth
6. Kelly
7. Reynolds
8. Flegler
9. Turpin
10. Haas (<65 minutes)
11. Robati
12. Capewell
13. Hetherington

14. Paix (>40 minutes)
15. Carrigan
16. James
17. Riki

it is but Kelly compliments Reynolds better imo , we need a creative 6 .
i think that with Gamble's size and aggression he could be a good lock , and he's definitely a great backup.
i think niu should get first crack at 1 and Cobbo in the centres.

Also logical. I also think a solid argument can be made for Gamble to start at 6.

Could also go Farnworth centre and Cobbo wing. A lot of spots up for grabs. Gonna be hard to lock down one consistent roster but Kev will need to make a call a stick with it.

2. Oates
4.Staggs
7. Reynolds
10. Haas
12. Capewell
13. Hetherington

are probably the only easy select and forgets.

this is true, but all the talk has been stability. But it's good that we have options in so many positions.

@Sproj triggered.

This could be a master stroke. I like it. He would have grown up off field too. Perfect age.

I half agree with that ... I agree that were stop gapping the 6 ... I just think it will be until Mam is ready
could well be be but I just think we need another proven game winner and imo Munster and Ponga are exactly that .
i think mam / mozer and Cobbo are the future but are still very young.

We aren't getting either of them for anything less than 7 figures

Apart from Riki starting I believe that is our best side. However for starters we already have Flegler and Piakura (Absent already) gone for the first few rounds through suspension. Secondly, I get the vibe that Kevvie is big Gamble fan cause at no stage was he dropped through performance rather missing selection through suspension and injury (possibly, can't really remember if he got injured). Whilst on the most part I agree you have hit the nail on the head with the team, this will be the rd 1 side:

1. Niu/Cobbo
2. Oates
3. Lee/(Loser of Fullback race)
4. Staggs
5. Farnworth
6. Gamble
7. Reynolds
8. Carrigan
9. Turpin
10. Haas
11. Riki
12. Capewell
13. Hetherington
14. Paix
15. James
16. Robati
17. Jensen/Palasia

A couple blokes suspended so I reckon this will be the side. Unless Cobbo kills it at pre-season I reckon we will find him in the centres.

Piakura will be right to start round 1 ... he was able to serve the second week of his suspension in the ISC

And Flegs will likely get some extra weeks for some reason to make up for Piakura being available.
