NEWS Payne Haas retracts immediate release from Broncos then

I loved the entire thing by ikin but this quote above made me bloody fist pump haha.
Honestly, I feel like we are once again becoming the best run club with him and DD there. Nasser and his posse have massively fucked up here thinking we are the bulldogs or tigers bcos of the results the last few years....
They were a year or two late. If Paul White was still here he would have apologised and told him to find the club he wants to go to and we will completely subsidise his wage for the rest of his career as a way to try and make it up to him.

Is John Hopoate part of the Haas management team?

When you look up who his new management is.... You can't be surprised at any of what's gone down

Problem is that we didn't sign a player from that management team. He was under a different manager when he signed with us.
Yep. But we are now fully aware of how that management team does business.

How good is it to see that HQ has balls. DD/Ikin are playing this so well. They've completely boxed Haas into a corner and protecting the club. Calling them out, whilst leaving the door open.

Anything Haas does from here, except meeting his contract obligations will continue to make him look like a complete fool.

We are in good hands me thinks.

Do we even think a club is going to get rid of a worthwhile player in exchange for Payne Haas?

I'm just thinking like, if we tell the Roosters we will give you Haas if you give us Manu, if they actually thought it out they'd be stupid to agree to it.
It's probably more like rorters saying we'll give you Collins at let's say $450k for Haas.

So rorters only need to cover an additional $400k in their cap to accommodate Haas... but then the question becomes do we want Collins and his $450k contract and another $400k of cap space to spend.

I would say no... I would prefer we have all $850k of Haas' contract to spend however the hell we want.

I agree. We dont want top up and players who will only be on a par with what we have here. Rorters for me have only Walker and Manu who i would want for example. If they cant offer those, they wait until his contract is up.

I'd take Keary for 2 years but not at 850k. Premiership winner with Reynolds, so they work well.

Collins would not be a bad shout. He is a decent prop and is a qlder too. If we were to replace Haas like for like the only one would be Fisher Harris, but we do not need to replace him like for like, just a no nonsense prop on realistic prop money. We may decide not to replace Haas and run with what we have, but if Patty went down we could struggle experience wise.
Its all hypothetical but if we got Collins and Walker for Haas I would get the deal done quick smart.
