I agree with everything except for worrying about our bench without flegler. Paliasia is very, very reliable. Hethrington is an absolute weapon in defence and getting great in attack with awesome energy. But jensen, jensen is deadset giving me webcke flashbacks. He has been bloody amazing and I have no idea how he is STILL flying under the radar in the media.
I think our best team has Gamble in for paliasia. Jensen and hethrington can easily hold the middle with flegler, carrigan and haas all easily cable of 60 mins plus. Gamble plays that 13 type roll with some hard runs and some passing in the middle and ffs we have one hell of a rotation...
Jensen is awesome and I felt the same sort of assurance seeing him come out at the 30mins mark and then just carrying on the roll on through the middle.

I felt like Kobe didn't have his best game tonight though... he cut a few blokes in half early on, but later on in his stint I felt parra were getting a roll on through the middle and it was likely when Kobe and Paix were in there.

Just felt like we had to get Patty straight back out there, but knew we needed to give him a break and survive until about 15mins to go... When Patty came back out I think he was still a little fatigued, giving away a few quick ptb's in defence and then that terrible penalty.

I think Kevvie felt he had to keep Patty on longer than he probably wanted too because Flegs and Haas were both having a spell... if Flegs is leading our bench then it's Haas and Patty that get the break and able to come back on with 25-30mins to go.

It's not an easy rotation to sort out for us because Patty and Haas can play such long minutes, but they also need to get their break on the bench... and we also struggle when they're both off at the same time.

It makes me worry a little if we did lose Haas next year, because as a pair they're pretty well the best middle going in the comp.

Surely that is our best win in the last 2-3 years?

Wasn't too confident tonight but how we played in that 1st half was 2015 like. So confident, slick and fast. Every player knows their job and it's a thing of beauty when everything clicks for us.

Hate to admit it but Turpin was decent tonight. Some big tackles, good ball from dummy half and cunning play at the play the ball. Paix was quiet in my opinion. Haas and Flegler were massive. Patty was his usual beast mode. Tesi does not belong in the side, some good plays on attack but has no footy IQ and you never know what you're going to get from him. TMM needs to come back ASAP.

Can we win the premiership this year? Look, things have to bounce our way and we need abit of luck such as Penrith copping 8-9 injuries lol. We won't beat Penrith on their day and the Cowboys beat us twice and put 40 on us last game. But...you never know what can happen from now 'til finals time.

I'm just super proud of the club. From where we've come from the last 3 seasons to now, it is remarkable. I love this team, I love the club and tonight was a massive win for us. I hope the team gets confidence out of that one. We came down to cold Sydney, 5 day turn around, wet & raining playing against a really good team in the Eels and won convincingly.

LET'S GO BRONCOS!

Kobe bust his shoulder in a tackle but played on. He was fairly quiet after it though.

Little harsh - he could have done things differently, but in the middle of traffic, in a break - you don't get a do-over on split second actions.
Yeah I know. I really think it is something junior "gun" players struggle with (herbie has the same issue). Because they are used to running over or stepping around kids in their juniors, they dont learn that sometimes it is best just to draw the defender rather than try to beat them.

Hoping it's just a burner - he played on for a good 5+ minutes of game time through that period all we were doing was defending and he didn't favour or cling to his shoulder after the initial wincing and giving it some movement. That's typical of a burner.

Storm have been a top tier team for so long. Please let this be the beginning of the end.

Could do with a few seasons of Storm, Roosters missing the 8 and Eels spooning again. Panthers will hopefully lose the GF and become beatable next year. They are in rare air and it's gotta run it's course too eventually.

I said it in thread but it is worth pointing out again.

‘The good teams tend to get more favourable calls because they are better and have the ball more.’ Annersley, 2022

And yet, despite being up by heaps, suddenly we get smashed 8-1 in the penalties (we got 1 early). Parra, I.e the worse team, conceded just 2, one of which was a blatant sin binning.

The thing I love most, gutters isn’t a “has” been, before he was a “was” been, It’s beautiful. he’s obviously a cancer+Moses. 25 six agains couldn’t help you this time, even though the ref was giving you reach arounds.

enjoy your shit culture

How the **** did flegler not play origin this year lol... honestly he is has been fucking massive this last 2-3 months. I think people see him named on the bench and totally underestimate how bloody good he is for us.
Love me some flegs! @Sproj specifically said he doesn’t like him, so hit him about him and why he wasn’t selected.

If I cold just leave a like on this would (I literally don't have the option on the bottom right), but I just want to say I 1000% agree. I have not felt as confident in holding a lead as I did tonight in about 4-5 years. When we went up by a couple in the first half I felt confident that we would get the job done which is something I have not felt for this club in a while, It honestly felt so good being dominant and knowing that we could keep it up and win. This club has come so far over the past few years and I I could not be more proud to be a broncos supporter. Whether we go the distance or not, I love this club.
