maybe the kid really earned the chance and after a solid debut Kevie thought he could give him one more. I don’t agree with his selection but I just don’t think it was outrageous that he was selected. Turpin and Niu getting selected now that’s outrageous
Turpin and Niu being picked is just mind boggling but you're just compounding deficiencies by picking a rookie in mariner, next to a rookie in mam. kevvie is dreaming if he thinks we'll stand up to the top teams with those kind of selections

Faster, better skill-set, better foot-work etc.

Good luck to TMM for trying to catch that do or die flick from Capewell on his own in-goal.

TMM just has him positionally but again Niu was improving in the middle, so give him this assignment in a game that was always going to be tough. Niu couldn't handle it so bring in TMM for a more manageable game where the rest of the team is more likely to turn up.
Better skill set?!!! Just saying yes would’ve been a shorter answer to the are you high question

You are right, rookie half next to rookie centre on the home run doesn’t work, lesson learnt tonight I hope

We have completely moved away from what was working for us during our streak. Simple game plans to win field position, good defensive structures, aggressive line speed, high energy, and solid mature organising fullback.

Why **** around with a working formula?

I would not be surprised to see us fall out of the 8 because they were all patting themselves on the back Thinking what a good year they had.
Exactly right!

Argue the point instead of playing the poster. I know the Broncos lost so your emotions are running high but coming in with a lame ad hominem does nothing.

But yeah better skill-set, I couldn't see TMM gathering those offloads he's been thrown from Mam or that flick pass from Capewell tonight that should have been disasterous. That cut out pass he laid onto Pereira was a gem as well.

Better skill set, not a better footy brain.

Tesi doesn't have a better skill set, it's more he has more options, but TMM has way more of a useable skill set, don't forget how many tries he was supplying on both sides from our halves, the cutout pass especially we where missing which Tesi seems to have abandoned.

Niu also has the bad habbit of not jumping for catches, he is short as **** so when ever it's contested we are hopeless, TMM whether he gets it or not put's his body on the line.

Better skill set is a ridiculous statement.

Allow me,
The only “skills” I’ve seen from Tesi are a decent running game, to be fair his support play is the best part. He has a nice cut out ball to the winger sometimes but that’s literally it. What he lacks upstairs more than offsets this. TMM is Way better positionally as you’ve acknowledged, and set up plenty of tries early in the year out the back of shape. He’s a got a short kicking game if needed too.

Agreed but players can learn over time and Tesi was improving. For mine, it wasn't so much that Tesi deserved to be ahead of Martin. Rather Tesi played so well in that win against the Eels he earned himself another opportunity and gave Kevie that luxury to take his time on Martin and create that competition for spots. Niu failed his assignment, so TMM should come back in at Suncorp.

And let’s not forget he can organise a defence, make a tackle and you won’t believe this one… I CAN RELY ON THE **** TO ROCK UP!

I disagree that's literally it, it takes skill to reel in some of the passes like that flick from Capewell tonight or those passes from Mam on the fly. I don't think he's had that opportunity this season, but that try he scored out of nothing against Canberra which essentially got him the role takes skill as well.

We haven't really seen TMM apply any skills at fullback. He runs that shape and that's essentially all he brings in attack which is fine but it has a ceiling.

We got punished from the first srt in defence and our first set in attack looked like poo with Turpin taking a minute to pass the ball every play lol

Niu single handedly contributed to the first two roosters tries. Gotta go.

I know a lot of people love Capewell but he got caught out of position twice for 2 tries tonight.. I actually think he’s a better centre then second rower (as seen in origin). Would be slightly crazy but i’d gladly move him there and bring Hosking in for a couple weeks til Herbie’s back if Brenko’s injured.

I also really don’t get why Mam is stuck wide on that left side every set. I get it when TMM sweeps to the right but Tesi doesn’t sweep well out the back so we need Mam or TMM there.

Also, what happened to Riki’s running game from last year? He provides absolutely nothing in attack. Robati has a gun offload and Hosking is a workhorse.. both better

Bring back TMM, Paix, Lee and Gamble in 13 or bench. And slap Payne Haas and tell him to get a play the ball that’s quicker than 30 seconds

Patty is our link man in attack, leads our line speed, makes +130m a game and 40 tackles.

He is our glue.

He had a shit game last week and we looked shithouse ... he's missing this game and we look like 2020 all over again
This is spot on. I noticed it in attack with the long balls thrown to Reynolds on the line. Normally patty is the link man running deep into the line before giving it to Reynolds on his chest. Such a loss
