CRICKET First Test Australia v West Indies

Why they dont lash Holder to all parts of the ground baffles me .
120 KMH ??

Marnus is all over the shop .
200 a cpl of days ago . Looks like he is out of form today . Fatigue ?

@1910

What was Marnus`s 1st class average prior to coming into the Australian team ?

Love Marnus but gee he gets some lives

Lunch time declaration

Windies need 498

Tangerine still has awful technique - he has two feet pointed to the bowler and squares himself up every time

Didn't do his dad much harm.

Not sure about FC but shield was 39.

I am amazed how he has been able to take his performances to elite levels .
Being around Steve Smith seems to have been a big influence obviously . But WOW one of 8 ever to get a dbl ton and a ton in one game .

Heard an interesting stat about his luck . If he was dismissed on the 1st opportunity of each innings he has played his average would be 10 less .

It's pretty crazy how lucky the bloke gets. He can obviously bat, but just gets dropped so often. And his test form is getting him ODI games he doesn't deserve.

Surely the same would apply (maybe a bit less than 10 less lol) to any batsman if you went over their whole career though.

Fox Sports did the numbers. He’s been dropped as many times as he’s been caught out.

They calculated his average would still be 44 if he gets out on the first chance.

Watching him yesterday in about 4 overs he offered about 6 chances

Average of 44 makes him still one of the best batsmen in the world. The fact he makes the most of his luck puts him at another level above.

Warner is another one who tends to get lost of second chances but the difference these days is he doesn’t go on with it anymore.

What a catch from Smith, he's got his head back in the game

Feels like Hazlewood has been bowling too straight this match... gets all his wickets bowling the 4th/5th stump line, but he's been on middle stump a fair bit this game.
