Only reasoning I can see behind it is Gamble as their utility???

Brailey can basically play 80mins, so if Gamble is on the bench he can come on to play some lock, but also cover some other roles

😕😕

O’Brien has been doing his hardest to get sacked for years and he just can’t achieve it, not sure this is going to make any difference.

He's been absolutely gifted a top tier halfback as well.

The spud releases Pearce and then chases Brooks, but for some reason Hastings has fallen into his lap. I mean seriously did no other Sydney club chase Hastings???

And what does he decide to do after winning the halfback lottery.. move his top tier fullback to 6... where no doubt he'll coach him to park his ass on the left edge and never roam... like he does every time he moves Ponga to 6

I know man I know. This bloke is a truly horrible coach but he just can’t get himself sacked, no matter how poorly they do year after year.

geez I feel sorry for Gamble if he gets pitched in at FB. Totally setup to fail.

imagine him turning to chase a grubber. it would be like hodges except if hodges had no legs.

Good god, Gamble at Fullback. WTF are they thinking.
On the infamous Podcast Gamble mentioned something about Kev speaking to him about playing fullback.

Either both coaches are fried or Gamble is the one pushing for it

Well, that sounds like it could be a possibility. I just dont see anything in him that makes me think he would be a fullback. Be nice if he could do it though.

It could simply be Gamble looking for ways to stay in the 17.

He would have seen the writing on the wall here after we signed ARey, and with the emergence of Mam.

same at the Knights with the Ponga shift and Hasting signing. although he has a better chance at the Knights of playing fullback than he did here

I think it's just looking at versatility to increase chances of being the utility on the bench.

He carved up the titans last year coming off the bench as a lock... that's where his value really lies.

If Gamble can get his endurance up and churn out 30-40mins at lock every week, whilst also being able to cover halves and "fullback"... then suddenly he becomes a very viable player in the 17 each week.

SMH reporting that Lachlan Miller could be released by the Sharks to play fullback for the Knights.

Sharks have reportedly previously denied attempts from the Knights to get Miller, but have softened on their stance because they have Kennedy and Dykes on their books.

"Sources with knowledge of the negotiations, who wished to remain anonymous due to direct involvement" have indicated that a player swap could be considered

Ponga is a cpl of head knocks away from medical retirement .
Dumb idea putting him in the front line .

Knights have a Pommy import who is lined up to play #1 ?
Interested to see how long it takes Gamble to throw a short pass fwd on the left side of the field .

Why the **** do you move Ponga?????? If the halves suck, get a proper half, Ponga is elite at fullback. Also, the amount of time Ponga is injured, it's less disruption to be swapping fullbacks as it is halves. Halves are the key to cohesion, that goes out the door when you chop & change.

This "he's a fullback but can pass the ball = throw them at #6" is just so silly. Lockyer, yes. Munster works (but is still a better fullback IMO). How many others tried & failed? That there is my warning for the Broncos & Walsh. DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT.

Pryce is such a good player, but i dont think he is going to give himself the best chance of success going to Newcastle.
