It's too bad we'll lose some players for this match, our style of play would kill Souths (especially kicks through to a slow Latrell).

No Mam, maybe no Hass. Might be tight...

Broncos 48 - Souths 2

In what could be a Grand Final preview, it's going to hurt not having Mam and Haas.

I worry we'll lose a few after that. I expect Mam and Haas will be suspended and we might have a few injuries. Reynolds looked sore, Walsh looked sore and Herbie looked sore.
How long until origin? That's how long haas will miss. Gotta set those "examples"

Just give us a dry track

I have zero confidence that the MRC and / or judiciary won’t screw the Haas tackle up.

Haas shouldn’t get any time. Mam’s was the worst of the 3 imo. The closest thing to an actual hip drop.

I think we can still win with Madden at 6 but would struggle without Payne
If we can beats Souths with Madden at 6 it's time to pencil in at least a minor premiership. I hope Kevvie doesn't do anything fruity, like elevate Smoothy and move Billy to 6.

Haas, Mam and Hopgood shouldn't be suspended. Haas wasn't even a hip drop, it was just unfortunate, and the other 2 were so weak. I despise this hip drop crack down, it's an absolute farce.

It's a no brainer Madden will play 6 you'd think.
Promoting Sailor to play 6 would be the next best option

I’m with you of course but I have no faith in the NRL to apply common sense. Mam’s looked like a text book hip drop and so I reckon he is in most trouble because the judiciary is too dumb to think it through. Hopgood’s shouldn’t be a suspension and definitely shouldn’t have been a sin bin. Haas’s was a pure accident in the wet but RCG was pretty seriously injured it looks like and that is all the NRL care about, the injury tax.

Well here's the tackle. I'm fucked if I can judge this stuff. It ends up looking like one of these so-called hip drops, but at what point did Payne go wrong, and how could he have avoided it? And did Hetherington contribute by unintentionally pulling Payne across him?

After looking at this, I'm inclined to agree with the bunker and let this one go.

Of course WE have to be on the pedestal when the NRL's bullshit perceptions get called into question by an incredibly vague incident. Did he do the splits on his own or with Haas help? And if it's the latter, is that even illegal in the first place? Or is Haas just going to have to take the fall to protect their precious crackdown from unwanted scrutiny? The NRL will invent answers to these "compelling" questions.

Gee, with zero suspensions, all the refs in our pocket, and sitting well clear at the top of the table I don't think it's tasteful to pull the victim card.

let me guess you thought that knock on call against cobbo who wasn't even allowed to play the ball was legit.
