Tale of two halves again, but switched around.

I thought Billy was actually pretty good in the first half, but not too flash when he came back. Patty, on the other hand, fucking hell, his attacking instincts need some honing.

When Reynolds is firing, we win. Simple as that.

Brad Fittler speaking sense about hip drops, if you reward legs tackles more, the hip drop disappears. He was also standing up for his man Haas. Always loved Freddie, me.

the fox post game is unwatchable, I have started flicking over to 9 after every game.

what are they saying. i turn of the coverage the second the final whistle blows
basically defending all three players to some extent, saying that there was no intent from any of them to drop onto the legs, it was accidental at worst etc.

They went hard defending Maam to the point where they changed my perspective on it.
Initially i thought Maams was the worst, but you can see him actively trying to dig his feet in to the ground, and just got dragged by a bigger man and momentum.
Short of letting go of the tackle, there is no way you can foresee that and adjust for it.

maybe Haas will be ok ... he is a blue and they'll want him for Origin

Gee fox, besides Ennis & Brandy are willing for Haas to get 20wks on the sideline. I actually think Haas’ was the least ‘hip drop’ out of the 3 of them.
But honestly, I don’t think anyone knows what an actual hipdrop is.
All I expect is that Mam and Haas will get charged and miss a couple of weeks, whilst every other ‘hipdrop’ goes unpunished this week.

First half was near perfect we beat them through the middle Eels played alot better in the second but we hung on. Despite their position on the ladder their a pretty good team.
Jensen and Marty were very good I thought.
Payne is a different player this year.
Cobbo rocks and diamonds but he's sending players into orbit and skittling the defence on alot of his runs he's learning what he can really do with his strength and size.
Those 'hip drop' tackles are getting ridiculous

Who was the hooker in the first half? I'm sure it was that bloke who's terrible on the Billy Walters thread
