or something like that

His pointless arguing every time “too many penalties” or “the hip drop needs to go” or “6 agains are awesome” he leads the gang of media yes men and PVL reacts. If you don’t recognise that, you’re a bit naive.
The media are 99% reactive to NRL decisions, they don't generally cause them.

What rules has Kent had influence in changing?

Kent has appeared in court this morning where he plead not guilty. His case has been set down for a 2 day hearing in December. Both Prosecution and Defence will be calling 3 witnesses.

Police will be adding a new charge - assault occasioning actual bodily harm. The victim was present in Court, standing at the back of the room.

"Outside court, Mr Kent told reporters the matter was the result of a “rugby league soap opera” and was looking forward to the “full story” to come out.

When asked what his employers think about the charges, Mr Kent said “they fully support me”.

“I’m embarrassed about it, but unfortunately it’s beyond my control so I’ll just let the court process see it’s way through now and once we get to the end then we can hopefully see some things through different eyes,” he said.

“It’s the rugby league soap opera, it’s the way it rolls…that’s fine, people are entitled to their opinions and we’ll get to the end of it and everything will be okay.”

The 53-year-old has been temporarily stood down from his roles as a senior writer for The Daily Telegraph and host of Fox Sports show NRL 360."

I found it interesting that the article was buried under the "Entertainment Section", rather than under "Police and Courts" 🙄

A few players have already lined him up with barbs on line. Mathew lodge i think was particularly vexacous of him. I suspect he will be one of many soon.

I believe it’s called auto erotic asphyxiation and isn’t that how old mate from INXS died? Or am I misremembering. That Tim Winton novel Breath is all about it. Not my cup of tea but to each their own.

This is where it becomes pertinent as to whether it is Mrs Long or Mr Slong tbh.

Auto erotic asphyxiation is when you perform the act yourself and I'm pretty sure you're right on Hutchence but it's definitely the way David Carridine died. As did Kenny, in a batman suit, in an episode of South Park.
