Haas is an exceptional player with some truely once in a generation kind of build about him. But I think we need to stop and think a bit like Bennett here, Haas is a prop. We shouldn't be paying him anything over 1 million dollars and if he doesn't want to stay loyal, then let him leave. We have some great kids coming through and we have some great stars right now, so we need to do what ever we can to keep them together.

it’s scary if props are getting 1.2 million. What’s a fullback worth then? It’s gonna ruin teams.

Peter Brown, the agent of Joseph Manu, was asked by The Sydney Morning Herald "if there was an appetite to enter a bidding war for the superstar centre's services".

"Brown indicated there was no desire to do so and the Roosters are confident of getting a deal done with him in the coming months," Herald journalist Michael Chammas stated.

Likely to re-sign with the club, Manu and his family have a close relationship with certain specific key figures at the Bondi club, per SMH. Also, his younger brother is currently in the club's junior system, and his father is reportedly close to several officials at the club, meaning an extension is imminent.

I am looking forward to hearing Sonny Bill's thoughts on this. As a highly respected and apparent 'for the players' voice affiliated with the Roosters via a loyalty handshake clause, I fully expect Money-Bill to come out criticising this expectation that Manu, a highly sought after player, will not test the market. There is no reason at all for him to be loyal to the Roosters as the only loyal people in the game are the fans, which of course, the Roosters have precious little of.

This is a circus.

Tino negotiated and signed pretty quick, no messing about. Why cant Haas? The options are all on the table by now.
Tino got offered 1.2m for 10 years. Not much thinking there, it's heavily one sided to him.

Sonny Bill only comments on Payne because he's a Muslim brother.

Call me prejudice but I feel as though all of these Islamic player agents are probably underworld crime figures linked to organised crime. They just all seem like slimy conmen...

I mean no offence by this but non of them strike me as particularly straight shooters...

1.2 for 10 years with cap percentage raises(so it gets worse considering the min wage increases have been above the cap percentage increases for the last few deals).

It's fair to say it went quick because they offered him overs, Tino is worth about 100k less than Haas imo based on his ability.
