Nice to see Kevvie trying to emulate 2020's Penrith instead of 1990's broncos.

Game has changed way too much, and we've gotta push the rules. I'm noticing our guys trying to take extra steps off the mark, especially Carrigan last night. Slowing down the ruck in the 20 is getting better, but Penrith/Storm are the benchmark for it.

Was an enjoyable game to watch. Cowboys errors helped us but we could have put 50 on them. Cobbo x 2 Mariner x 1 could and should have been at least 12 pts.

Overall thought we were pretty solid, was pleased with how we stood up to what was 50-50 perception on how this game would turn out.

Carrigan was immense, as was Reyno and Sailor for me. All this talk on Sailor, well, you can only judge him on last nights game, and he was very good. Those 3 get 9/10 in my eyes.
Smoothy, Baker, Xman, Kobe, all very good.
In fact all get 8/10 for me other than those top 3 and Cobbo who I’d score 6/10. 6 for the effort but not happy with his ball handling. That’s the player he is though, disappointing at times but that’s only because we know what he’s capable of.

I just can’t spend $170 on a jersey. I bought a “City” jersey for my daughter last year coz she really wanted one. I couldn’t justify the $170 price tag so I bought one on AliExpress and it was so good I bought one for myself. Proper stitched lettering and logos. Really high quality material. I honestly can’t tell the difference when I check out a “real” one. Ended up costing about $35 with players number on back. My son buys heaps of European football (soccer) strips on DHGate and they’re really good too.
Interesting. What seller did you buy from?

I've purchased plenty of stuff from Ali, but figured the jerseys would be sublimated and not embroidered.

Fullback and halfback are not the same position.

He is listed as having played 2 games at fullback this season for the Magpies, he's also listed at 5/8 on the graphic.

You were having him there instead of Madden, who plays as a game controlling halfback, completely different roles. My sentiment remains.

Five-eighth is NOT a halfback. Completely different roles in a team.
Poor Ezra. You're never going to let him follow in his coach's footsteps.

So far Madden has "controlled" 6 games for us, and won 2.

His record in the Q Cup is no better. For the Seagulls: 3 wins from 6 starts. For the Devils, 0 wins from 6 starts.

Looks like he gave up trying to be a 6:

What have you got to support this idea that Sailor is a halfback?

We've tried playing with two 5/8's before. Spoiler alert, it didn't work.

I never said he was. That was Ezra who said he's going to be the halfback.

So you're suggesting Ezra switches between halfback and 5/8?

I am just trying to my head around what you've come up with.
No, Ezra and Reynolds are suggesting that. I'm just going along with it.

Madden is obviously never going to replace Reynolds despite fitting into your rigid job description. He's just not good enough.

Sailor has played both five-eighth and fullback for us in a number of trials and managed to garner some enthusiastic press in the process. I'm not flying a flag for him to become our long term 6 with Ezra at 7, but I'd sure rather see him cover the halves under that regime than Madden, who brings nothing to our attack beyond the rote.
