That's disappointing to end with a draw.

Wasted chances. Should have scored at least 3 goals. Sociedad did very little, their only goal coming from a penalty. We should be going into the second leg with the advantage.

I have little faith in us being able to get over the line at home considering our form at home this season.
 
Game and tie should have been done before that crap penalty. But alas it wasn't, and as soon as that call was given, heads dropped and they let them back in the game to the point we easily could have lost...

Probably need to consider resting vs Arsenal, not like the result matters and we'd lose comfortably with full strength anyways.

I have question marks over that penalty.

I was under the impression the new rule says the ball touching the hand/arm in such close proximity is no longer a handball and therefore is no longer a penalty, but for some reason it was a penalty against us.

I think it was a harsh penalty, simply because most players raise their arm when they jump but the letter of the law says its a penalty. Its tough because it was almost simultaneous his hand hitting the ball or the Sociedad player heading it. On the viewing i saw, they had to slow it down to fractions of a second to finalise Fernandes did hit the ball first, and i dont think thats in the spirit of the game personally.
