BASKETBALL NBA

I would be very surprised if Boston and OKC don't meet in the finals. They are just incredible.

Cleveland also have looked great. The question is whether both they and OKC can step it up in the heat of finals, obviously Boston can. But really like what Golden State, the Lakers and strangely, Chicago are doing. Keep an eye on those three teams.

Giddey with a halfcourt winner against the Lakers. He's in good form lately.

He's gone into elite level since the all-star break. He is seriously one of the best players in the NBA right now.

Another 25 points as part of a triple double with as you said, the game winner. The guy has well and truly arrived.

Giddey is that guy

Giddey making himself 100million. Not sure what it does for the Bulls though. They probably need 2 more guys better than him tobactual compete at the top level. Hopefully Buzelis turns into a guy for them.

I reckon they need to back Giddey and White and build around them and yeah, Buzelis could be one of those key pieces. I reckon ignore the record with them, I have them as one of the top four teams in the comp right now.

No chance. They arent very good. They have had a hot last few weeks but they are treading water. They are not good enough to compete for the top 6 and not bad enough to get top draft picks. They really need o hit a home run in the draft. I like the look of Buzelis. He was the projected no 1 pick in his senior year but went to that now defunct g league team and was not good and slid down bad. So he just might have needed development.

They have ****ed there self now. Giddey was horrible at the start of the year and he wanted to get a contract done but they didn't want to pay him. Now he is just adding 0s to his contract and they are going to be forced to pay him or lose him for nothing. They have horrible management and are notoriously cheap owners. I would not be surprised if they let him go because they are incompetent. It actually reminds me of the dallas brunson situation. Could have had him cheaper and they just disrespected him and he ended up leaving and turning into a superstar.

Bulls have the worst ownership in the league. They aren't forced to do anything though because their fans always turn up. They have been fun to watch lately though play a great style but they don't have alot of talent apart from White and giddey.

March is always a strange month in the NBA too. Alot of the top teams are just chilling waiting for the playoffs. Teams resting and tanking everywhere. Hard to get a proper gauge on what is real.

So the regular season is done. A bunch of Aussies going into finals including play ins.

Finals: Simmons, Furphy, Ducas (sort of), Travers (sort of), Mills (sort of), Ingles (sort of), Landale, McVeigh (sort of)

Play In: Giddey, Daniels, Exum, Armstrong (sort of) - Irving would have been here too but he did his knee

Those that didn't make it: Green, Thybulle, Reath

So if I were picking an Aussie team after the season proper, I'm pretty confident everywhere except PF, that's the Boomers' biggest issue. You would be having to convert a Landale, Thybulle, Simmons or Travers and just hope for the best because otherwise, you are replying on Nick Kay...again.

You've gone a bunch of players at College in the US too in Reyne Smith (SG), Alex Condon (C) - but could play PF now, Anthony Dell'Orso (SG/SF), Proctor (SG/PG) - is a lock for the NBA, Harry Wessels (C), Ryan Abbott (SF/PF), Luca Ace-Nasteski (C), Achor Achor (F), Michael Afrakoff (PG), Angok Anyang (PF), Bo Beatty (C), Louis Bleechmore (SG), Jensen Bradtke (C), Lachlan Brewer (SF), Elias Cato (SF/SG), Oscar Cluff (C) - looks really good), Nate Deer (C), Bol Dengdit (PF) - but also eligible for South Sudan, Marshal Destremu (C), Thomas Graetz (PG/SG), Cameron Huefnew (PF) - could be a good learning option on the Boomers squad), Josh Hughes (PF/C), Charles Johnston (C), Will Johnston (PG/SG), Tana Kopa (SF), Tuburu Naivalurua (SF), Bailey Nunn (PG), Stephen Olowoniyi (SG/SF), Riley Parker (PG). Ryan Rapp (SF), Jaron Rillie (PG), Harry Rouhliadeff (SF), Ben Tweedy (PG), Deonte Williams (SF), Kobe Williamson (C), Alex Toohey (SG)

I'd go with this for the next Boomers' side (dependent on Irving's knee):
C - Landale
PF - Thybulle
SF - Giddey
SG - Daniels
PG - Irving

6. Reath (C)
7. Condon (C/PF)
8. Green (SF)
9. Exum (SG/PG)
10. Furphy (SG/SF)
11. Travers (C/PF)
12. Simmons (PF/SF/SG) but with great reluctance, he just covers so many bases

Whos on which bandwagon? Whats the final look like?

Ill go ecf celts and cavs

OKC and Boston definitely look a class above but Cleveland is also up there. I think it is out of those three. Lakers could pull something off with Lebron and Luka.

I think those are the four to watch with Golden State and Denver smokies but unlikely - Golden State because I am not sure they have an extra gear and Denver because they sacked their coach on the eve of finals but have Jokic who can do anything.

Everyone else seems like an also ran. I do think Chicago has the potential to go surprisingly deep if they survive the play-in tomorrow.

Clips nugs could go 7. If they do whoever gets them in the next will have the easier path.

Harden and kawhi are in good form at the right time.

Definitely don't write off the lakers but huge burden going to be on luka. Lbj cant do 4 quarters anymore.
