Old fashioned slog in the wet. Dug deep, but still a long way to go.

We’re the Broncos
The mighty Broncos
We keep fighting every second till the end

We’re the Broncos
The greatest team on earth
We’re the heart of all Queensland

Never stop
We never rest
On and on we beat the best
Never giving up we bleed maroon and gold

For the league
We risk it all
Miles above
We’re standing tall
We’re the finest and the greatest club of all

We’re the Broncos
The mighty Broncos
We keep fighting every second till the end

We breathe in our soul
The best game of all
We are the Broncos of Queensland

Hey!!

Well

The Broncos are our name
Through the north we won our fame
Being handy with the ball
And we drove the Blues insane
And we put on a move
And we scored a certain try
So sing out our alibi

You didn’t know we had to beat ya
And we’re so sorry my friends
You didn’t know we had to beat ya

We will never do it again

Bullshit

89% completion in the wet... what a fucking effort.

And to win by 8 (but really 14) with less than 50% possession is just a great effort all round.

Basically only conceded 1 try in the wet, even though we were behind on tackles inside the 20m and possession.

Hard to take too much away from a game against really awful opponents in terrible conditions, but a good win nonetheless.

On the positive side, we were prepared and didn’t get ambushed and Shibasaki looked really slick and justified Madge’s decision. More importantly, Walsh improved massively… he showed calmness, composure and willingness to die with the ball instead of force a play which he hasn’t shown in the past few weeks. It led to no stupid errors and then when he finally got some space he had a beautiful tap on for a try.

We still have some very obvious weaknesses which were on show tonight, including Arthars refusing to contest the high ball, a continued total inability to recover short dropouts and a complete lack of support play on line breaks (I think this is the biggest reason to bring Mam back into the fold). That late Avarillo try was frustrating too.

Plenty to like, but still some things to work on.

Side note: Jordan Riki looks like a Greek god and yet runs with all the ferocity and power of an 8 year old girl. He must be very close to being dropped.
I think you're being a bit harsh ... thought that was easily our best game of the year, but that might've been one of our best all round games in several years.
