After months of uninformed moralizing and feeding this kid to the sharks, we haven't heard a peep from anyone, least of all Ezra, as to what caused him to veer off course.

Those reflexively linking it to drugs or him being unlicenced after the court case have shit for brains.

It's not about punishing him any further, he hasn't played for nine months, if he's not desperately needed in NRL then I would say a Cup run would help him. If Hunt and Reynolds go down on Sunday, then that might change but if you're in a position where you can say go get a run to me that would be the ideal situation.

And ask you ask a question: when was the last time you drove WITHOUT drugs in your system?

You don't need to answer that, as we know you can't remember that far back.

How long you going to persecute him for? How long you going to drag it on for? How much further you want to punish him for?

Some of us can just see the bigger picture here. If he takes hard lessons from this, and comes out the other end a better person .. what’s wrong with that?

So when does the rehabilitation and correction part kick in for you? Or you just want o continue to punish?
