AFL Brisbane Lions - 2025 AND 2024 Premiers

We still haven’t sorted out of goal kicking woes it seems. Behinds at the crucial moments halts our momentum. Day is reminding me a bit of the Gunston experiment. He just doesn’t seem to fit in with our system.

Agreed. Also, Charlie Cameron has been poor for about 18 months now. He's lost his speed and he doesn't have many other weapons. We nice Marshall got a gig though. I do though generally think Collingwood were great tonight off a longer prep and we were terrible off a short prep, we looked so tired.

Charlie concerns me the most. His drop punts have been horrible. Hopefully we can turn it around next week. It’s two tough games coming up though.

Yeah his general play kicking has fallen off a cliff on top of his goal kicking, he is a huge concern. Hopefully he can come good in the back end of the year, we just need a little longer out of him because we have a draftee incoming who is a young version of him in Geesu.

OUCH! Looks like an Essendon player just broke his ankle AND did his ACL all in the same movement.

Unreal man. Absolute shank to cap off what should have been an epic win from nowhere. The worst kick you will ever see.

Sigh we live in a city of chokers. The fall of Charlie Cameron continues

That was extremely disappointing but this has been coming for a few weeks, we need the bye.

The Lions have that look of a team that’s climbed the mountain and is finding it hard to muster the motivation to really go after it this year..

Their win loss record flatters them imo..

For sure. They are also so far in front, I think its hard to get up for games at the moment. They will make finals, no one will want to play them then.

Yeah you see it with some teams defending a premiership - they pick & choose their spots through the regular season and come to life again towards the finals

Yep and they have some pretty big players to come back as well which is exciting. There are also a few players that are underdone.

Berry and Starc will be huge for us in the finals run in and then if we can get McInerney fit and firing along with Doedee, things look very, very good.

missing these easy shots on goal are really costing the lions.

That's a huge win. We haven't beaten Hawthorn in forever. We've learned not just to play the MCG but own it now.

That was a huge step up, good response after the last two weeks.

That 4 quarter intensity was very impressive. Would have been nice to completely bury them early in the 4th though. Ah chee is such a great player, hope some of the talk that he might get squeezed out next year are bull because I’d be incredibly sad to see him play for another club.

We'll keep him, don't stress. He loves the club and we love him.

It was nice to see Charlie finally up and about. What a great win. The difficulty will be to find motivation without the need to win like we constantly had last year.

It really looks like it is a race in 4 or 5 this year:
Brissy
Collingwood
Geelong
The Gold Coast (I'm not sure they can go up a level come finals)
Hawthorn or GWS, not sure which one yet

The smoky is Adelaide outside of those teams and the Bulldogs but they are inconsistent and Adelaide can't beat the top teams when the pressure is on.
