They've signed Josiah Pahulu from titans... so they dont need Tui anymore.

If you read storm fans reactions during games they ****ing want Tui goooone.. so he's probably a trap if he's coming on any sort of decent money.

If he's coming on a club friendly short term deal then there's no harm because we have no ****ing middle depth... so at worst he's replacing Taupau.

I dont really want him though... the 2026 market is bare though

I think he's probably the easiest to shop around and get someone to take full freight for... whilst also freeing up future cap space

Probably the reason why he's being shopped to us.

It's more interesting to see who has shit contracts, but the same manager as a star player.

I've always wondered how Josh Rogers went from 30yr Qcup journeymen to getting a 2yr Top 30 deal... then I saw that he has the same manager as Cobbo.
 
Would the Broncos reply with a Jack Bird type of deal just for shits and gigs?

"We'll only take him for 2025 if you're putting up 75% of his salary, take it or leave it".

Then put the phone down and have a big laugh with the rest of the crew

We’re in June so, barely 4 more months to go for season 2025. Storm would’ve already paid him 75% of whatever he’s on by now don’t you think?

If he does land up with us for 25, he would most probably get what we have left after Marty’s sacking.

So Cobbo must be $1.10 to be gone at the end of the year then, if he wasn't already.

On James Graham’s podcast, his co-host Charlie White said that there is a belief going around that it was actually Madge who last year came out and started that whole rumour around Billy and Cobbo not getting on..
IF that is true, I can’t see a world where Cobbo will want to stick around under Madge.
Very interesting as I dare say it would have also got some of the other QLD boys i.e Patty, Walsh and Hunt offside.
 
Give Piakura to the tits in exchange for Fifita please (Des is obviously off Fifi big time and they need a 2rf. The idiots down there will probably think this is a coup as well). Get Khaas next season to fill Hetho's spot on the bench (KHaas is a better play and covers more positions) and make Payne happy.

Edit: save whatever is left for Herbie the year after and we're sorted.
 
On Cobbo, I dare say those stories we heard a couple years ago RE him turning up late to training, and not putting in had continued under Kevin and now into Madge. Madge’s comments “We have some standards and expectations around what we want to achieve here and that’s what we have to live by”, tells me there is things off the field that he is not doing.
Sounds like he is as good as goneski.
 
Fox just said Cobbo may be dropped for this week - could there be a change before June 30??? - could be some exchange of the move - would be interesting if we could get a GOOD 2nd rower out of it

Staeted on patnways at the Storm in 2016. Been with Cowgirls since 2020. Fomer NRL forward Adam Brideson, who played 22 games for the Bulldogs from 2002-07, has also been added to Brisbane’s recruitment-and-development team, focusing on pathways for your affiliate clubs to the NRL.

Not sure I would believe a single word that comes out of that guy's mouth.

He's either a journo already or desperately wants to be.

His entire vibe is being completely up himself and god's gift to the world

I dont want to see Piaks at either titans or dolphins... way to close to home for a guy that has a lot of mates in the playing group.
