He's a Wynnum signing, they offered him a pre-season as part of their deal but then Broncos upgraded him when he worked hard, He's been great value unless you're Wynnum of course they've got nothing out their signing.

He's a posterchild for the affiliate's pathways and R and R at work.

I was against him being on a development deal because I don't think 27-year-olds should be on that deal but it's worked out well.

At 1st I thought Madge was trolling hard .
Making guys like Mariner and Piakura earn it .
To a lesser extent Gos was a success.
But Shiba must have been on Billy's radar for this next Origin game . Amazing rise in a few months.
Get who ever it is at Wynnum who is finding these TnT guys and sign him up .Hoskings and Shiba have both been revelations .

Yes I think you might be right .


I got a surprise with Shiba`s top end speed the other night . I thought the cover defence would round him up short of the goal line .
It was mainly his hands that used to let him down if I recall . That`s not an easy thing to turn around like he has .

Done good Shiba !
 
I was so ****ing wrong about Shiba. I thought it was a joke when the rumours came out of him making the team and then thought I give him a game or two at the most. What an amazing year he is having. The example of what hard work and not giving up can achieve.

Brideson has just got a job with the Broncos and was at Wynnum for a long time.

I don't think overhaul is right, when was the last Wynnum success or Cowboys success?

The disconnect at the Broncos is that the coach keeps changing, you can't have alignment when the coach changes and you have to change what he wants.

Bellamy tells Bunn I want a bench player and Bunn goes and finds Wishart because he knows exactly what he wants because they have worked together for so long and he doesn't bring players back to Bellamy that he doesn't think will pass.

Jim Jones knows exactly what Cleary wants and how he wants a player to pass, kick, walk, run, make a sandwich. He can find a 17-year-old and they are learning that from day one.

The Broncos haven't had that alignment for a long time.
 
Real underrated quality about Shiba's game is his footy IQ. Just has great anticipation to know when to push in support and position himself. I thought his decoy running was poor at the start of the year, but that's improving too. His lack of athleticism will get exposed against elite centres with footwork, but unreal player on his contract. Great ability to find his front and push through tackles. Temu Herbie.

what a difference 5 years makes. delighted for him.
 
Yeah credit to Shiba. Sets a really powerful message to a lot of people in different walks of life if you keep working hard, good things will happen. He had one last crack and my god has he come good. Beyond Payne I think he has been our best of the rest this season. Been excellent. Credit to him.
