PLAYER Ezra Mam

I dont really care personally if Ezra does cop it from people for what he did. He deserves it for being so dumb. What more bothers me is the hypocrisy of people giving to Ezra and giving others who have done things equally as bad a free pass. Take Leniu for example. Because he said he didnt realise what he said was racist it makes it all ok and he gets very little flak for it. Maybe Ezra needs to take a leaf out of his book and just say he didnt mean to crash the car.

Yep exactly. My issue is people acting all high and mighty when every single club in the comp has at least 1 player with a poor history on their roster (or did in recent times). News flash, a large percentage of footy players are morons/pieces of shit. Big throwing stones from glass houses vibes from fans.

I think the general hatred for the broncos plus the recency of the mam/spencer racism saga(a lot of closeted racists so they probably didn't like him getting a lengthy suspension for it) just added fuel to the flame for everyone to bandwagon on top of this.

Tigers just signed that other May deadshit, I can almost guarantee he will not be boo'd or face anywhere near the same scrutiny. Just like JAC didn't at the eels

Think that was yesterday wasnt it??

He was signing autographs and taking photos and the question was like "what's it like being back in the Qld squad?"

So it was a pretty softball question, but potentially he's been put on a media ban, so he's just having to ignore everything.
Ahh maybe it was yesterday, they only posted it this arvo that I saw. Either way, glad he isn't giving them anything.

No one is trying to excuse what he did, most people are trying to comment the facts here. Of the lesser charge, like driving with drugs present in the blood, it's not at all a DUI case, as he wasn't charged with that. If there was scientific evidence (higher reading) that the drugs contributed to the crash, he would have been charged with DUI. He was not.

I'm not going to go after Ezra because I'm not perfect. No one died, he wasn't under the influence or 'cooked' and therefore any whataboutism is just performative rubbish.

Therefore, I believe that others, and particularly our supporters, are absolutely fine to laugh at all the uneducated gronks sharing their negative opinions about Ezra. They all look and sound foolish, and cracked out as hell, whilst simultaneously supporting shithouse people (from Taylan May, to Spencer Leniu), including pedos and felons themselves. BuT We CaRe AbOuT tHe FaMiLy!!

Oh.
If Ezra crashed his car into a crackhead on a stolen Peppa pig bike I don't think they'd still be going on about it.

I would love to see the alternate universe where the club sacks him and after he's served the same amount of time and copped the same penalties a different club picks him up. Wonder what the narrative would be

Uber drivers reaction to Ezra's selection

The guy needs to get a life.

just for accuracy

he got found not guilty for one charge
then plead guilty for a different charge
In actual fact, he was found not guilty of both rape charges but plead guilty to a seperate offence not connected to these ones. That one was an inappropriate touching type charge similar to Dylan Brown. He got probation - at least that’s what the CM is reporting.

I’m open to re-signing him.
Everyone is innocent until proven otherwise.
He might not be a choir boy, but choir boys don’t win you premierships.

Ezra was involved in an accident. Robati was in no accident tho. He plead guilty to inappropriately touching a female.

Best indicator of future behaviour is past behaviour.

Pretty much all one sided out there in the real world. Only place trying to excuse what he did is this forum.
This seems like a pretty awful place for you to be, makes you wonder why you don’t just leave. Free yourself of the awful people that we are!

He was drunk and stupidly groped a girl. Not the best behaviour for any male, but it’s a cruel world if we’re not able to forgive a mindless minor infraction and give the guy a chance to grow up.

At least he owned the action, which is a start to his rehabilitation.
