PLAYER Ezra Mam

Pretty much all one sided out there in the real world. Only place trying to excuse what he did is this forum.
The only thing I think anyone has defended is the fact that he was not intoxicated at the time of the crash. Intoxicated at the crash site compared drugs in your system is a totally different act in my opinion. Media are making like he was intoxicated and it’s a complete lie.

You didn't see him on the news then... bloke looks like he ate George Rose
I'm sure being allowed to play footy again means he will soon drop that excess flab. It will also pay huge dividends for his mental state being in and around a more mature group of males.

I’m sure the vast majority of the people here, no matter what kind of state they are in, really drunk, under the influence of drugs blah blah blah .. are never, ever going to grope a woman under any circumstances.

Is he on any kind of special list somewhere? If not, he should be.

With a lot of help from professionals, he needs to do some intense work on himself.

This isn’t about “forgive and forget”. It’s about rehabilitation for him now.

For the good of his own mental health, can you imagine thousands of people booing him?

Plead guilty to 1. That’s 1 too many.

I agree .
Groped the girls breast and Patty stepped in .

Grope is not OK . Very different to sex without consent though .

But no conviction and 2 year parole . Not on any lists .

I was editing to add more information and got timed out .

Media headlines say he had a cocktail of drugs in his system.
The other drug was paracetamol.

Agree completely. Don't want the grub at the Broncos.

On a side note if men reported every grope, arse pinch or sack lift that happened in pubs / nightclubs the police couldn't handle the load.🤔
No doubt the vast majority of women don't report either.
It's different for men because there isn't the physical threat to go with it but the behaviour is very common.

The part of the Robati story that I found difficult to reconcile was the statement the female accusser accompanied Robati into the male disabled tiolet because he proposed a business proposition .
Here , step into my office .

He groped a breast for goodness sake, he never rammed a car and threatened someone's well being.

As Dexter said the behaviour is very common in pubs and clubs where drink and drugs are involved.

Unfortunately, both have a tendency to cause a vast amount of the population to totally lose their inhibitions and lose all sense of decency. I have three daughters and would hate it to happen to them, but that's the cultural norm here in Australia. It was much worse twenty years ago when I was out clubbing (which doesn't make it right) but it is improving.

However, women think nothing of rubbing a guy's tight arse or squeezing his muscles and there is nothing said. When the shoe is on the other foot though....

One incident threatened three lives, the other was an invasion of a person's private space. I don't know the context either as I said, it's not behviour I would condone, but to ostricise the person from the community and have him put on some sort of special list is fairly worrying if you think that's the way society should be run.

If he should be put on a list for fondling a breast what sort of list should Ezra be on for endangering three lives?

I think you need to step back and take a breather there.

Who said anything about ostracising him from his community? I didn’t. I was speaking to anyone who wants him back as a Bronco.

“I think you need to step back and take a breather there.“

Such a dismissive and patronising comment.

Take the comment anyway you like it's your prerogative.
I'm merely voicing my opinion.

I am pretty jacked (lol shameless plug) and am routinely groped by straight women, even in the work place.

Sometimes (if at an event with alcohol) it can go well beyond a grope of a trap, lover back, arse, or thigh and become harassment, which does make me uncomfortable, so I get what you're trying to say, but here is the kicker - I am in absolutely no danger. If 4 of these gals tried to r@pe me, they would have no chance ha. I could probably take 8. If I speak up and lay down some boundaries, I am left alone. Women are not offered that, and unless they hold a blackbelt, pepper spray, or a switchblade, they probably won't feel safe.

On the flip side sometimes I let them climb all over me to save them from my idiot straight mates. A sacrificial gay lamb!

Like I said, I get what you're saying here, but the situations are so different, and even if they sound the same, they couldn't be more different.
