Mozer went down again rolling around seemingly seething in pain. Is that just how he reacts when he gets a painful knock or was it his shoulder playing up on him again? Commentators were saying it was his wrist but I don't know. Maybe I am too sentimental but I just hate seeing the kid put himself through it, just to play for the Magpies all year.

He’s pretty banged up, his thigh had strapping, his shoulder was sore and Cobbo hurt his arm.

I know he wasn't called for it but in the 4th-5th minute, did Mozer effectively do a hip drop tackle?

With impending BHunt’s return, I reckon Paix might not be in our 17. Hooking duties would be shared between Billy & BHunt for the rest of the season. That being said, why can’t Mozer be pulled aside and get him treated with whatever he has been dealing with so that he is ALL ready for preseason?

Speaking of hookers, Bukowski played 80 and looked comfortable doing so. The future is very bright with him and Mozer.
I was happy to see that, bloody impressive for a guy who might have been the youngest on the park.

Would love to know if Mozer can play 80 if he had to, he didn't look fatigued when he went off. Makes sense for KHunt to inject guys like Eggerling into the game either way.

Yeah both of them looked comfortable from a fatigue point of view. As @1910 said, Mozer looks a bit banged up but that isn't a fatigue issue of course.

But on Bukowski, I love the energy he played with. Has a nice technique and just competes, repeat efforts are not an issue.

If we even extend Bukowski...

Mozer should honestly go for surgery now, he's looked munted at times the past few weeks. Give Bukowski a shot in first grade if push comes to shove, I'd back him to hold his own.

Bukowski has already played 80 twice in his 13 games and interesting that they are both against Mozer and one was his best game.

Mozer has only done it once in 44 games and took until game 30 for him to do it.

It was only two weeks ago the best Bukowski could do was last 20 minutes of a Cup game.

Can't blame him for not being brought on until the dying minutes of the game, he's done perfectly fine playing much higher minutes every week before that. He's a goodun

No, you can't blame him, and I certainly have been calling for him to play more but his form didn't demand it. You couldn't argue he made Head pick him for 80 minutes. Head was clearly reluctant. Although I maintain Wynnum are better with him on there.

My point was to suggest he can go from 20 minutes of Cup to NRL quickly isn't grounded Rugby League reality.

@Big Pete Marley Igasan playing BRL. Someone noticed from that 20's game.

Also David Bryenton to Bulldogs.

He's going to have to get his reps in before the Phins.

Disappointed to see Bryenton go. Fortunately the Broncos have McSherry coming through and he looks a class player and somebody who could challenge for a six spot if things don't work out with Ezra.

Then again, I did say something similar to Gray and Oloapu and we know what happened there.

Really hope someone at the broncos is keeping an eye on bukowski get the feeling he will be the better of the two and id hate to see him slip through our fingers.

I have been saying for a while he throws the best pass, he doesn't have the guile of Mozer.

It will be a clear indication that something is very very wrong at the Broncos if Bukowski doesn't want to be there. His whole life and his family have been at Red Hill.

McSherry v Scott- both fullbacks/halves and wear head gear. McSherry moves a bit like Sam Walker at the same age. Shame the Meninga draw didn't put them up against each other.

McSherry showed great skill in City v Country- first Country try was great passing, third country try was on the back of his great run.

Really impressive performance on the back of losing the Grand Final to bounce back.

Cobbo really has been a massive disappointment over the last month. The player he's meant to be should be lighting it up in reserve grade, yet he's just prodding along. Karapani will keep he's spot the rest of the season and I'm happy to let Cobbo go.
