Really disappointed with Talty today, he came on at 22-0 and Tweed start coming back straight away. His spacing is all wrong and some really soft defence- Tweed's first try he gets it wrong, and they score under the posts. You just came on and it's 22-0.

Worse then looks around as if he's solving whose fault was that boys?

22-22- Bai on debut and a kid pushes him off to score.

Nice pass for Koellner to score but that defence won't please anyone.

Mariner seems to be ticking all the boxes but what is his way back in? We look SO much better with Gibasaki and Karapani on the left and Staggs and Arthars are entrenched on the right.

Pondering on Mariner the last month and it’s like he’s back at Tweed, I think he has clarity in his role. At NRL level he looks confused, is my job exits is my job finishing tries. At Bears he looks like he knows get the ball to Leo, do what Rogers says, run after Kollener runs.

What a great win by Souths, that's easily their best performance of the year. I was looking forward to seeing Moseley v Mozer, but I think the old timer probably got over Mozer this week. The try probably gives him the points.

Souths, worked to an edge, made ground got back to the middle to score tries, worked off scrums to score tries with well-timed passes and even when the rain came and the top of the table Norths were coming back, they held out and defended without errors. Two in the sin bin is extra resilient

Semu back to the bench and I think that's where he is best at the moment, he shouldn't be starting. His form dropped well off.

How bukowski go today?

Bukowski on in the 28th minute, Wynnum score 29th minute. Great pass to Grant outside A and although an error from Redcliffe led to the try, Wynnum are on the attack because of the pass from Bukowski.

Within four minutes of him coming on Wynnum have gone from 8-0 down to 10-8 up.

Within 15 minutes, Wynnum 16-10. After nice pass meant Dolphins had to commit numbers under the posts to stop Hill and then Sutton gets wide from the next ruck with no in front of him.

Wynnum win 18-10.

Note Bukowski hit on EQW with 16 to go, raining, Redcliffe down by 8 and bringing it back- snaps him absolutely flogged him under the ball in a classic tackle.

Only problem was he went on with it and gave away the penalty but the tackle you could put on a tackling demo.

Bai on debut

Two tries- both good forward tries.
Four tackle breaks
Two line breaks
14 runs
1 offload
11 tackles
0 missed
0 errors
146m

Doesn't come much better for an 18-year-old (19 in November) against the Bears forwards.

Came off the bench which is hard for a young player and got momentum back for Tweed- comes on at 22-4 down and goes about changing it.

He's there until end of 26, so they're doing well moved him up to Cup as soon as they saw what they wanted, and he's played three years of Meninga and Under 19 Origin.

Even the NRLQ they clearly just wanted certain things; saw it and moved on to the next challenge.

That's good development.

Off contract end of 26 hey... I can hear Fox Sports Writing Staff tapping away stories about November 1 already

They wouldn't even know he's played Cup yet and once they write son of Storm legend Marcus Bai they will be all out of ideas.

That's all they need...he starred in the U19 origin a couple weeks ago... im surprised they haven't written a story already.

Might be waiting for his manager to give them goss that "teams are interested"
