They're buying in.

I've said it multiple times, if they buy in, things will turn for them.

The challenge now is maintaining that. It will all be for nothing if they go to shit a few weeks before the finals.

I do think that bad period will hurt our top 4 chances, but good signs for next season if they can keep building.

Not just this, we're seeing positive growth from guys like Piaks, Riki lately, X has come on huge last few weeks as well. It's great signs

Hetherington has been used really well the last couple of weeks.
Those inside balls to him off Reynolds have had a impact.
The use of Billy has been a masterstroke laterly, he's clearly the better of the 2 but him playing the 14 role makes us go up a gear when he comes on.
 
Just seeing riki not skip and jump before contact has Maguires fingerprints all over it.

You know he’s in piaks ear reminding him that “he could be” one of the most damaging line runners in the comp, he just needed reminding.

I don’t know how Piaks passed his HIA but you could see how filthy he was when it happened.

He knew how important it was for him to be on the field with how many troops we had out, and then for him to score the match winner was so massive
 
I think Piak’s craziness is rubbing off on Riki because he too has pulled his finger out. Piaks is playing origin level and no one is even talking about it which is great for us that one of our kids is ripping in and not being talked up for once. Riki has to have noticed and his efforts have also improved dramatically.

I said last night in the live thread that I can't remember a game where Riki ran harder and defended better. Their small pack helped but like you said he was clearly ripping in, hope he continues

Yeah I’m often critical of Riki but he was great last night. Would’ve had him in my POTM top 3 votes up until that last 20 minutes.

I liked the time Riki picked up the ball from dummy half ran and just kept up momentum . It was a 1%er move .

Dogs scored 1 good try from a scrum .
The other 2 were flukes and poor play by the fullback .

Once Reyno and Selwyn quit kicking the fcking ball out on the full things got a lot better .
Really good defence last night other than the #1 not competing for the ball .
