As far as infringements go, I do believe we are part of the problem, in attack we get turned on our back and don't really fight consistently for a fast play the ball. Then in defence we are also not so great at getting opposition onto their back and stopping momentum so we concede the set restarts.
What did it for me was when (I think it was Payne) was tackled about five or ten metres out. They wouldn’t let him get up and numbnuts flat out refused to give a six again. We constantly get pinged for far less.

Nah don’t get me wrong, just the way they played, seemed a little more reckless than usual. I don’t think we play that way against the storm or Penrith etc. Just wanted them to take it a bit more serious getting close to the finals.

This is the team we have, Walsh is rocks or diamonds, Ben Hunt has never been known for grinding down the opposition. These are the 2 most integral members of our spine with the injuries we have.

Walsh has undeniably gone up a gear since he's been given a bit more freedom with the injuries of Mam and Reynolds. We're not going to grind teams down or beat them with a defensive display, we can however beat literally anyone on our day with the players we have, even with the injuries.

Madge can try and coach against it, I don't know of any coach around that would want to take away the creativity of Walsh particularly, when he's going there isn't anyone better, period.

So by some miracle if we finish 4th and Melbourne finish first, we get to play them again in week one of finals!

The Scum in back2back weeks. I'm not sure my heart can take that.

3. Walsh
2. Staggs
1. Karapani

Overall I'm okay with it. Yes we could have been more polished, and Reece goalkicking woes cost us the half century, but this late in the season, being in the position we are in, you take the 2 points no matter how you get them.

ELEVEN -3.... we just won by 34 points..... and it was 11-3

.....

If that's isnt suss I dont know what is.....how can a team dominate so much yet be on the back foot in the ruck so much they need to do nearly THREE TIMES the infringements/penalties..

The thing is this isnt the 1st time for us this year AND I dont think we have won a penalty/6 again count all year? And we are noticeably fitter than nearly every team in the competition. How is it even possible? Questions need to be asked here. Theres no one who can justify the above lol. If it's not corruption, theres at the very least bias. It's crazy tbh... "good teams win despite the ref", unfortunately, this isnt 1 off games, when it's week after week after week it is a bridge too far, and the nrl know it.
For once I would like a bronco coach to open up on it like Sticky or Robinson do.

Try and put some pressure back on the league.

Today would have been a good day to do it because when it is raised after a loss, it is considered being salty, but after today the inconsistency is clear to see and would not be looked at as sour grapes.

They did and we are dead last... might've been posted in the knights pre-game thread
Canberra were getting pumped early in the year and Ricky basically dated the NRL to fine him under the new rules.
4 straight weeks he bleated in the presser about getting pinged for stuff other teams weren't.
Madge needs to get vocal.

yep, I know exactly the same one. Payne looked Todd right in the eyes and basically said "where the **** is the 6 again".

Finals secured.

Payne was holding Crossland by the back.of the neck and ref called it but after he let him go Crossland had another dig and should have been called.

Thought Jhunt had a decent game and Staggs has def lifted the last couple of weeks. Love the way he is hitting holes lately.
Walsh and the team look so much better when he gets the **** out of first reciever and just provides backup and a running option.
Bhunt looks mostly in control and they all listen when he has something to say.
Hard to get a handle on where we are because of opposition.
Love to get an update on X.
How good if we can get him back off the bench in finals.

Cows have the bye in rnd 27 so could come out and just throw it anywhere. Very dangerous when sides like that have nothing to lose.

I came in at the second half. What was his kick for touch?
It was about half-way through the first half.

The Broncos forced a turn-over on Cogger and were deep inside the Knights half. The Knights were at 6s and 7s but the Broncos were really sloppy with the ball and weren't going anywhere. Shibasaki did well to dive on a loose ball without knocking it on, so Walsh goes to dummy half and dabs it over the sideline like he's trying to wind the game down...with 60 minutes left on the clock.

I'm still at a loss, not only at the play but Walsh of all people deciding to pull the pin on the set.

Just to tally the final score for/against the massive “breeze”.

Against the breeze won 38-20.

What an absolute effort from both teams to run uphill the whole game against such a treacherous weather event.

Just finished watching the game - great win which now should lock us into playing finals!

Our backs were pretty awesome - 1 to 5 all making a billion meters and all scoring tries. Billy having his best season ever and Hunt really stepping up to lead this team (he's defence was particularly pleasing).

Wasn't perfect, but you can see that this team is building nicely - and it's great timing too.

Also loved the ball playing by Hass.

Edit: also credit to us for hopefully getting over our day game curse this year.

Last update was roughly 6 weeks, injury was on the 1st of August - so Mid September - would be a super risky pick for the 1st round of finals on the weekend of the 12th. The 19th might be possible though. If we finish 4th and win though, we don't play again until the last weekend in September. Would imagine he'd surely be right by then.

It was on 4th tackle as well... Bhunt was on the open side and threw his hands in the air like "what the ****??"

The set may have been a dumpster fire, but there were still two tackles left and Bhunt would've been planning a settler in the middle, kick to the corner and everyone reset.

I just have no idea what was going through Walsh's head... and I think that kick was after he drilled a grubber to the sideline 1 or 2 sets earlier... it's like his head was all over the shop

I think the timeframe has always been 8 weeks... that timeframe puts it at late September and has him pushing for a prelim
