Just looking at the highlights of Cows v Tigers, gee that right side Cows defence is putrid.

Lets say we beat the Cows, and the Wahs lose to Parramatta. I would be willing to do a mass resting in Round 27 under the likely assumption Manly beat the Wahs again for DCE's final game. If it pays off, we go into Week 1 against the Scum with no disadvantage in fatigue, and give ourselves the best possible chance at a Week off.

If we want to take the likelihood of Top 4 seriously, I would really rather not have to go down there to go up against a fresh Melbourne, while we have had to exert ourselves to overcome injury and that nasty mid season slump. **** that, I'd rather swallow the risk of finishing 5th and taking the positives from this season regardless of what happens from there.

Plus it would tickle me pink to throw Bellyache's bullshit back in his face.

You are forgetting the Sharks. In a shocking turn of events no one would believe, they have two easy games, they are more likely to finish fourth than us or the Warriors.

Saw this on Reddit.. sharks on par with bunnies and tigers with their win percentage against top 8 teams... looks like a deserved top 4 team for sure.

Fitz will go down as sharks greatest coach of all time... winning only a handful of finals games because they're walked into the finals each year.

Hmm I wonder if this is effectively the NRL version of the AFL's premiership window. If so, there are four teams in it and it is the four you would expect. I imagine if we had Mam, Xman and Mozer for larger chunks this season, we'd be closer to the Storm and Raiders.

This would suggest the premier will be one of the Raiders, Storm, Panthers or us. And given our injuries, we are a bit of a distant fourth in that list.
 
Jordan McLean has announced his retirement at the end of the season.

So this becomes a farewell game for him.. Great...

And they’ll magically have a meme draw again next season. Meanwhile, we’ll have the storm twice, rorters twice, riff twice, dogs twice.

expect cowboys to come out breathing fire early on.
if we are asleep at the wheel we could be chasing a big lead all game.
if we weather the first 20-30 I think we will then win with ease

I had the flu last week. Wasn't an enjoyable 8 or so days.

It'll be freakish if Haas manages to play through it, but if anyone can in the country can do it it's probably him.

I got influenza A and B last week and it straight up kicked my ass for days on end 😂 I seriously didn’t think it was going to end lol I rarely get sick so that was a shock to my system.

It’ll be interesting to see if Haas isn’t 100% if he’ll end up playing, maybe they’ll wait to see the results of other matches before they decide.

Glad you are feeling better mate.

Haas plays through Ramadan so we know he can work under fatigue and in a deficit.
But man i will be amazed if he can play on the back of this years Influenza and would probably just let the poor ****er rest if it was up to me.
 
Haas’s flu puts us in a very tricky situation.

1. We’re gunning for top 4 spot & winning the remaining 2 games is a must.
2. We play Thursday week against the cheat fcuks so it will be a short turnaround.
3. Obviously if Payne’s given extra time off, he would be ready properly for Thursday week BUT can we come out on top if he doesn’t play Saturday?

Most of all, I fear that IF Payne’s rested this week, the only bigger body named in extended squad is Baker 🤦‍♂️. That in itself is a nightmare.
