Did anyone hear Voss and Brandy complain about Walsh attacking with 2 mins to go and up by 8 points.

Voss: "Brisbane, remind them they are in front by 8"

Brandy: "Walsh, just not protecting the lead at all "

Protecting leads is what lost us 2 Grand Finals!! These clowns will stop at nothing to bash Reece Walsh. It is crazy the shit he has to put up with.

I love the concept of Walsh being rocks and diamonds.

If there was a scenario where someone would either gives your rocks or diamonds; it would be fantastic.

Here is a rock. OK
Here is a rock. OK
Here is a rock. OK
Here is a diamond. WOW!!!!!

Now I have 3 rocks and 1 diamond.

Is the issue to do with having 3 rocks? I'll just push the rocks to the side and I will keep my diamond.

Work is getting the very best out of me this morning!

In his post match interview with Faux his tone felt like he just did not want to talk to them.... it would've been great if he was like nah I'm not talking to you guys.

Credit where its due, Maguire has got the back five mix right I reckon. They are all making mountains of metres and get, at least to the eye test, quick play the balls. This is current NRL 101 if you want to compete (separate to diving and living offside until the ref stops penalising you if he indeed starts in the first place).

Even Staggs is making a lot more metres than in the past. Karapani and Mariner have been amazing at this since coming back in. Walsh also is starting to make 200m a week. We are also using our middles and Riki to also make metres. This is one area though where we are missing Xman quite a bit, his metres and ability to find his front allow us to keep the Haas destruction going. Right now we are basically holding the game until Payne and Patty (to a much lesser extent this year) get back on.

The side looks really good heading in to 2026 IF we can get our second row right. Piaks is a gun if he can stop knocking himself out. But Riki is just awful more weeks than not. Both Gosieski and Junt are currently not at the club in 2026, so it leaves just Piaks and Riki unless Bryce is seen as ready to go.

Just sign Jibasaki already.

Would you resign J Hunt or Gosiewski? Finally learning to spell Jaiyden and Gosiewski are my strongest reasons for keeping them. However, there are very few second row options left.

I figure Baker, Paix, Hoeter won't be resigned and Hetherington and Jensen will stay.

I'd probably lean towards Jhunt... only because he's far more physical in his game and he can play in the middle making him a better 17.

Gos is a better 2nd rower when it comes to the actual fundamentals and you'd have no concerns about him playing 80mins if needed... whereas Jhunt probably needs a break, so considering our shithouse depth at backrow you'd probably have more confidence in Gos filling compared to Jhunt.

So in saying that Gos is probably the better choice even though I started this comment with Jhunt as my preferred lol 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

Keep em both then!

Junt - yes absolutely. I'd actually probably have him in my 17 jersey moving forward. He's a perfectly serviceable middle who can comfortably play second row who is cheap. Gosiewski - I think he will be minimum wage given his chicken business and is experienced - you aren't getting any better for minimum wage.

Yeah I dont think Gos is going anywhere, even if we throw a minimum contract at him his only other options are fins or tits... and those teams probably arent going for him.

So his options are stay with us or just not play... he probably wants a few more rugba leeg dollars before fully committing to his chicken empire

I agree, but it's a good thing our halves (including proxy 6, Reece Walsh) are honing their cut-out passes, otherwise our wingers would never see the ball.

The media cycle today has been disgusting. Every NRL article is about forward passes robbing the cowboys.

The bias is extraordinary

Broncos forwarded passes will be on the referee tip sheet this week you can guarantee.........we will get reamed for anything remotely flat.

Its all about the media setting up the expectation and reinforcing how such a naughty club we are in the mind of the officials.

Meanwhile we’ll get very very “flat” passes out of dummy half all week-end without the blink of an eye.

if they weren't going to be on the refs tip sheet ... NRL 360 just grabbed the tip sheet and wrote it in all caps using a thick black texta

Watched the match highlights and except for one of our tries, the rest were all correct as the ball was passed backwards. For the Cows I could only see their 1st and 4th tries as legitimate. That 3rd try was ridiculous-so if we throw a ball into an opponent and it travels forward and then regathered by the same side, it’s okay?
Walsh wasn’t playing at the ball yet this arsey try was allowed. FML
If you throw it backwards into an opponent and it travels forward it is fine, yes. Very arsey though.
