Badel article, but apparently after all of this Haas June 30 stuff, he's called a crisis meeting with the players in an effort to get the season back on track. Haven't read the article but apparently that's the summary. Really sounds like a guy keen who hates Madge and is trying to agitate for a release.

I'm not sure anyone has claimed he's agitating for a release this time. Only that he's done it regularly since he started with us and that we're over the circus.

The theory is if we lose this week, the wheels will start to turn. And who is captaining us tomorrow night? Payne.
Also, can’t forget the fact he asked for a release a couple of years back.
I can see him agitating for it to happen.

I guess the positive is we will pocket 400k to try and get Hodgo to come out of retirement.

Haas has played at the broncos for like 8 years... the club should be looking to give him a send offat the final home game even if we dont make the finals.

There was the situation in '22, and it was made abundantly clear that was his management jumping the gun. But I'm just curious about the other times he agitated for a release.

I get that the Warriors have helped us a couple of times, by releasing Walsh (which lets face it got us a premiership) and then Barnett to us ...

And the Arthars loan arrangement worked well for us. Gave him game time.

I’m okay with us releasing Anderson so we can retain that relationship, even though he’s been great. Let’s play nice and see if we can get Bishop Neal for a few years

The **** is this? They’ve helped us? We let Walsh go to them early, we have loaned them players when they needed them, we let them live in our city to keep the game going (which by the way should have kept going without them if they weren’t willing to stay here). They’ve owed us for a long time and I’m time of them being victims.

I'm pretty sure the club doesn't get to decide who can stay in Brisbane

and on Walsh, we were losing him anyway. so our option was to develop him for the Warriors or let him leave and have them develop him for, while keeping the goodwill that allowed him to gain a release to come back to us

Should have offered shibasaki. At the time his demand was a lot higher. All in hindsight though but we all know how much he can plod around
