Panthers definitely didn't pay top dollar for Ipap though and I think that's what @Hypex was referring to.

Usually when guys like that pop up on the market they're looking for a good coaching system and will head there under value to try and restart their career... D Fifi is looking for that right now.

Broncos with Madge have that opportunity now, whereas I don't think we had that when Ipap was looking for a new spot.

Talagi was a hyped junior and was never needing to leave Sydney with the amount of offers coming his way.. he chose to head to panthers, because it's the best choice for him to develop. I'd say he went there for unders as well, because Parra were throwing bank at him.

Panthers also pick up guys like Alamoti, etc. who were hyped up guys, but end up having down years and looking for a reset. Everyone can see the talent they have, but they pick a system that gives them the best chance of getting their career back on track.

Fair call .
I guess that`s the double edged sword of being successful . You have to pay more for 1st graders when successful eg Shiba . You can also pay less with the carrot of success eg BHunt .

I see there is an island in the Solomons named Talagi .

I can.. 1 post? Given his track record he'd be posting about 300 times a day if we lost hahahaha... fair enough if it was HIS TEAM's forum, but if you want to post that much hoping/after a loss of an opposition forum when your team is SO SHIT, than you go into hiding when they lose hahahaha... stick to the north and try to raise the iq on that forum rather than drop it on this one.

I'm ninety percent sure that @JayPee is Mr Dearden on the Cowboys forum. He lives down this way so it lines up.

I was thinking more your Zac Hosking, Paul Alamoti, Jack Cogger types, hell even getting the last bit of good football from Tyrone Peachey came in handy.

Agreed those two players you mentioned probably strayed from their history of value signings, though I agree with @BroncsFan they would have come cheap falling more into the other bucket I mentioned, funny those signings were also made the year their dynasty came to an end unlike the players signed above.
 
Have we heard anything more about Te Kura being chased by NFL?

I honestly think Haas will leave so we need to hold onto Ben. From what I'm hearing R360 will pay what he wants.

We would also need to sign another prop but out of all the players off contract in 2026, Naeme is probably the only one worth a punt on.

Media are the only ones talking about this non existant thing.
 
I don't think R360 will even get off the ground, at least while our players are playing. It's just going to be used as a way for the cap to be significantly increased, IMO.
