OFFICIAL Jonah Pezet to join Broncos in 2027

Braith said Storm said they would allow Munster to starts negotiations with Perth and release him if he wanted but only because Pezet was staying.. he said as soon as he told them Pezet is signing elsewhere they revoked their permission and told them to stop negotiations and they will not let him leave anymore….😂 What a circus! lol
Yeah but I also don’t think Munster would want to leave early under that situation. He does love the club still and he wouldn’t go chasing the money and leave Melbourne in a shit spot. I don’t think anyone is acting in bad faith from that perspective. Braith seemed fairly reasonable about that part of it as well.

Dragons fans seemingly annoyed that they were never in the race for him. Really? After the treatment Ilias has copped and Flannagan seemingly having a lock on that jersey, why would Braith send one of his clients there?
Flannagan being a 1st choice half in the NRL is a complete joke and never should of been in that priminster jersey either.

I think he cops a bit too much criticism if I'm honest but why would any half go there atm? His best games were at hooker in Cup I believe.

I haven't caught up on the thread so its probably already been said, but J Shiba potential signing could definitely help persuade G Shiba to stick around for a lesser deal too

I also think the signing of Pezet means the end of the line for Black. But Black could easily be our new 14 and take over Walters position if and when he retires.

Yes cause a highly touted Halfback is gonna turn himself into a bench hooker cause the broncos want to keep him. Why would he do that?

It seems Black is obviously not coming on as well as the club would have wanted to see.......

Is Mozer falling into the same category.....? If he's not playing NRL "fulltime" next year, you'd have to assume so.

Bloke also needs some luck with Injuries. Would love to see him string some games together with a full strength side around him. Only then will we get a real sense of how he is tracking.

Blasphemer !
Don`t you know you can`t say things like that about Mozer ?
He`s the golden boy , the chosen one .The next Cam Smith according to some folks on here .

@1910 Did Mozer have surgery on his shoulder or just physio ?

well we kinda did that with Paix, although I don't know how highly rated he was comparative Black and his current hype. or former hype as it currently stands.

And how the coach publicly bagged Hunt after he carried the side.

Sounds like a great place to work

Paix was over-shadowed by Dearden to the point where Broncos officials were shuffling Paix into dummy half to fit Dearden into the team.

Paix had a physicality to his play that lent itself well to the dummy half position. Coming through the juniors he resembled a young Kieran Foran in so far that he'd dig deep into the line to buy his supports as much time as possible.

On the other hand, Black relies on his skill-set and is at his best when his instincts take over and he plays backyard footy. Otherwise he's very much a 'get to your kick' type of halfback.

I wouldn't write Coby off. He's only 19 years of age, the challenge for him is going to be asserting himself on the field. If he can impose himself more and play tougher he can go a long way in this code.

One aspect I do like about him is his cover defence. There was that JT/Dearden esque quality where he'd always chase a break no matter how futile it seemed.

The signing of jonah shouldnt mean the end for black or duffy. If it is, it is because they gave up.

What maguire is instilling is that you have to fight for your spot, regardless of who you are.

He chose gos and shiba in front of piakura and mariner. They did not consider it the end and worked harder to be better, and both came back much better players.

If black and duffy go back, work hard and prove themselves to be the better option, I dont think maguire would choose jonah just because he was signed recently.

We won the spoon when we were just giving a first grade jerseys to the next young "prodigy" coming through. This year we won the premiership by having people competing for spots and taking advantage when given opportunities.
