Feel we've played pretty well though. Courtois has his been his normal brick wall self against us. Such a good keeper.
 
fantastic win. best we've played all season. Bradley was excellent and seems to relish playing against the higher profile players.
 
Everyone played well, we didn't have a bad player on the pitch imo. Singled out Bradley as he's been copping it a little bit for not being Trent, but he doesn't need to be as we've seen.
 
Wirtz on the wing with that midfield is mint! That needs to stay!

Yeah I think Slot realises now that he has to have Gravenberch, Macallister and Szoboszlai as his midfield 3. Trying to shoehorn Wirtz in there just didn't work.
 
It was also nice to see Macca have a good game. He's struggled a bit this season - and I was beginning to think there was something more to it than fatigue from last season, international appearances, etc.

Definitely, although I think we will see Wirtz as a 10 again just won't be in any games of importance.

Jones is the only one who deserves to unsettle that midfield 3, he can play any of those roles exactly how we need him to. Fantastic rotation option.

I was quietly impressed by Gakpo coming on at striker, he held the ball up really well and was a problem for their defence. Obviously dont want him starting games there but it's nice to have his versatility on the bench while Isak is out.

It was worrying there when it was only really Chiesa that could cover LW, ST and RW. Slot has a few options now.
 
Bit of a dire game but we're ahead at half time.

Just don't come out in the second half asleep like last week.
 
Wilcox wants top 6.

They thought they could get by without a midfielder until next season because they want Baleba. Top 6 isn't happening if we don't sign a quality midfielder in the January window. Opposition teams run through our midfield and have so much space to work with.
