R360 Discussion - Delayed 2 Years

"Things change bro"

It was Tony Adams after all

Mystic McSproj got branded a racist for making this call, but look who's laughing now:

IMO this delay will make it even harder for them to sign players.

players would have already been concerned about the viability of the comp in the first place. this delay will only play into those fears, especially given there have been rumours that R360 has had trouble getting the investments required to get the comp off the ground (despite what the board says publicly)

It will probably help them sign legitimate rugby players though with the lure of an upcoming World Cup gone

It's granted them gratuitous hysterical publicity to a much bigger Australian audience than if they'd simply targeted the isolated backwater that is Kick & Clap.

This foreign tax exile fiasco would all go away if the Gubment could provide some rudimentary taxation exemptions. For example:

1. 15% flat rate for all income derived from approved sporting bodies (eg NRL, ARU). These kids earn a shitload of money for ten years tops, during which time they blow it all on handbags and instababes, and then wind up on a shovel. Acknowledge this might be the only time in their lives they can earn. Third party income might not be exempt.

2. The same flat rate could be extended to entertainers and creatives in general whose earning spans might amount to only a couple of years.

3. Or if you want to be really progressive, tax under all 30's at 15% flat.

It's not impossible for a country to think outside the tight arse box of robbing the "rich" no matter how nouveau. Ireland, for example, gives creatives a free kick at €50,000.

Unfortunately, I think we're too much of a bunch of ***** to cut anyone a break, and this is why anyone successful ****s off and we can't make shit here.
