Yep the more guys you have that can play multiple positions the greater the squad flexibility.
It is something we lack in our current squad, but it might be something that Madge is working towards.
His actual recruits so far have been:
- Bhunt (Half/Hooker)... although this probably wasn't really a Madge recruit
- Shiba (only a centre, but he was a T&T and turned him into an Qld and Aus rep)
- Talty (prop/lock... may be able to play edge)
- Aublix (middle/edge... also identified as a centre on dolphins page)
- Grant Anderson (wing/fullback/centre)
- Duffy (halfback... but would assume he can double as a 6 as well)
- Hayze Perham?? (wing/fullback/centre)
On top of that Willison has added edge, Smoothy added lock, Deine added wing and Karapani improved massively as a winger (came through as a centre).
This year I think Paix will end up adding lock (to be a Smoothy replacement) and potentially Talty some edge.
It does seem like there are more young guys around the preseason this year as well... it was also great to see the young guys with the playing 17 during finals last year... they all came running on the field after the prelim and were there for the celebrations after the GF... so they may get some opportunities this year.
Simon signed him end of 24 then he played GC A grade last year.
Lost the unloseable GF after not losing a game all year rolled by Tugan 30-26.

The NRLQ (U/21s) was a mickey mouse competition but when the Broncos were at their best it was going through the front door with players like Turner.
It's a good reward for Brady, it will be a long road to the NRL but if he can aim for consistent reps in the QCup he'll be on his way.

Would have been interesting to see if an uninjured Perham would have played fullback ahead of Cobbo last year.

Yep, for the Pride and Falcons. Three of his last seven Cup games in 24/25 have been at fullback.
