Broncos Roster, Signings and Rumours Discussion 2026

He would kill so many plays by not passing the ball too.

Have you watched him at the Dolphins ?
Or you just love a cliche ? Because I have seen him pass the ball a lot more in the past cpl of seasons than he ever did at the Broncos .
I believe he was under orders because he certainly has the skills .

A player was under orders now to pass the ball to his unmarked outside man. Now I've heard it all.

Media will be in absolute overdrive exploiting the opportunity to confuse everything with as many wild rumours as they can. The last thing they want is the Broncos riding the high into this season and tearing it apart again.

Even though I know this, it still absolutely does my head in.

Literally going to block fox sports for the next 2 weeks and avoid any and all RL news. The NSWRL media will be insufferable as ****. Its already started with that tosser Aaron woods calling souths favorites to win the 2027 premiership and the news only dropped today.

I work in NSW with a disturbingly large number of Souths supporters, its going to be utterly ****ed at work as it is without the hyperbolic media rage baiting me hourly.

I was totally enjoying the off season, basking in premiership glory but somehow Payne Haas managed to **** that right up.

I sooo get this. The off season has been one for the ages. Soo many feel good days and yeah, the glory was euphoric to say the least.

That all stopped today.

I said all this last week, I didn’t want the off-season to end for all the above reasons. But here we are.

The stress, tears, hope, and disappointment of the new season has started already.

So depressing. I don’t like it lol.

I’ve definitely felt less excited for this upcoming season now that we’ve won, I will say this at least brang my attention back to rugby league and the broncos

The plus side is that we won’t need lose anyone else and also, Payne Haas will no longer be putting a dampener on everything with his endless will he won’t be routine.

Of course he’ll also be destroying us on the field but not much we can do about that now.

Think Haas was going whether we won last year or not.

Can't find the message again, but someone was looking at props off contract... One guy I can see that is signed to the end of 2027 is Hopgood.

He's one that I would love to have at broncos.

He's someone that can play lock, has a great offload, can ball play and has a massive motor... also a Qlder.

He's currently 26, so it gives us a bit of insurance around Patty by providing another actual ball playing middle.

He was underutilised by Ryles at Parra last year, but there was a thought it might've been Ryles preserving him in a rebuilding year. However if that carries into this year and he's still not playing a ton of minutes then broncos should be on the phone to see if they are interested in offloading the contract for 2027.

Massive fan of Hopgood, was a monster at the beginning of 2024. Very concerned about his back after his Origin 1 2024 injury though. I think it requires a fair bit of management which is why we saw less of him last year. I think he's had a laminectomy (disc removed) or a disc repaired (pushed in, micronectomy), but you are never the same after one of those surgeries. :(

Will be interesting to see how he plays this year and if last year was all just about managing the workload.

If that carries into 2026 then there would be concerns about his long term health
