FOOTBALL English Premier League 25/26 Discussion

Spurs love taking points off City. They played really well 2nd half.
is surely Arsenals to lose at this point.
don't begrudge them winning, has been 20 years since their last.

...****ing hell. doesn't feel like Henry, Pires, Ljungberg and co was 22 years ago but here we are.

I really wouldn't love Arsenal winning it, but its probably better than City again, just. Thing with City winning though is that it really doesn't matter and everyone's forgotten and doesn't care 3 secs later.

UCL will no doubt play a big part, as well as injuries. Thing with City is once they get everyone fit, and if Haaland hits form again, they can easily go 10+ win stints and the pressure really will pile on Arsenal.

Glad Villa dropped some points too, another team hopefully sucked into that UCL spots 3-5 battle. With their injuries, they are probably going to have to prioritise either league or Europa at some point soon.

Normally I wouldn't mind Arsenal winning it, but the football they play is just so ****ing boring and negative. The extreme focus on set pieces, where they treat them like they've got a timeout for an NFL play... painful.

Plus, most of their supporters are whoppers.

It's funny too. The diehard Gooners would complain to no end about how teams setup against them under Wenger and would stand by playing 'beautiful football' without getting the titles.

I for sure can understand changing how you play to maximise chances of winning things, but as a neutral their games imo are basically unwatchable. If they win it all, they won't care, nor should they really, but it's a ball ache to watch. If they do stumble again and don't win it again, can't imagine the fans will be so forgiving of the style of play.

The corner stuff is mental, the sheer number of bodies they throw at the GK, it's why own goal is basically their top scorer.

Casemiro's no look assist for Cunha's goal was wild lol. Caught the defence completely by surprise.

United ownership refusing to do anything in the January window because "we'll go big in the summer"... completely ignoring the fact that without doing anything this window the chances of us finishing in a CL spot drops because lack of depth when the inevitable burnout/injuries occur.

And if we don't finish in a CL spot, that's 100 million down the drown. Carrick is doing well, but we aren't going to keep up this run. Unbelievable.

While injuries might play a part, the idea of burnout is ridiculous. They're playing one game a week. No European or cup games, they should be the freshest team come the end of the season compared to all the teams they'll be competing against for that ucl spot.

Yeah burnout cannot be used as an excuse whatsoever for this lot. Lack of depth in midfield especially if one goes down, but they're out of all comps, they should be fine for one match a week.

I do think we needed a midfielder, but id rather them not buy than last minute panic purchase a terrible option. Ideally they should have been looking at loans.

Ive come to expect nothing will happen in January windows lately. United are bad at doing deals and in Jan there is usually not many good ones to be done anyways.

Cant remember the last early game we won tbh. This really is a must win.

Least its looking nice and miserable in Manchester, so we might be okay out of the early arvo sun.

How the **** does Dalot keep getting picked when we have Mazraoui?

Romero sent off and Spurs down to 10 men.

But watch us bottle it because we seem to struggle against 10 men.

Lovely worked goal off a corner. Thank **** for that.

Was worried we wouldn't be able to break them down after the red.
