Yes, we’ve signed duds like Baker (into the sun), JetSki etc, but overall, we are the champions… all that matters. I know the club will PUT THE CLUB FIRST and not any player’s needs above the club.

Logically, Souths would have to be one of the worst clubs to go to.

We all want cash but fair dinkum, there would be other clubs with a bit more of a chance of winning the comp than Souths. I can't shake this thought that his management wanted to use another club to get us to up our offer.

I wouldnt take Haas over Petero or Webcke. They are both easily a match for Payne, and just because they choose to big up Payne over themselves says more about them. Payne is a freak athlete, but he's not a better rugby league player than either of those two. Nobody is scared to run at Payne, he's soft. You cant say that about the likes of Webcke and Petero. Tough, tough footballers.

Baker is a dud but I personally don't see someone like Gosiewski as a dud. He has held his own when called upon.
