This just feels like the Kangaroos tour all over again. Each game took forever for the NRL guys to adapt to the offside and the cheap shots

This is why any concept that overlaps the NRL and ESL just doesn't work. The two comps are just way too different now in terms of flow, especially these days when the NRL **** with their own rules all the time.

ESL reminds me of Big Bash, where all the domestic players aren't up to playing at international level and they all get to sign 2-3 NRL players.

Our line speed in defense needs to lift, we can still win this for sure if we get some possession.

Thats the biggest difference. Line speed. Its been one of their biggest weaknesses over the years across multiple coaching staffs. Takes them until 2nd halves to get into it

For the first hit out of the season, having no ball in conditions you rarely play in, especially cold is probably as bad as it could have gone for the gas tank.

If we can hold the ball and get around the rushing defence and wide, we'll get more points.

They have been rusty with the ball, rusty in defense and they havent really matched the red dudes in intensity to offset it which is probably a fitness rust.

Theme of the day is rust.

Paix has been awful. Big part of why their attack looks slow.

Yeah its their first game together, its going to take time but I wouldn't be worried about Mozer taking over yet If I were Paix. In fact, if I were Perth, I'd be chasing him to be the starting 9. At some point, he's going to have to give way to Mozer or Bukowski.

Just gotta look back to the Ashes and most of Aus points came in 2nd half of all 3 games.

Poms started okay and faded as Aus got into the games. Hopefully same here
