The NRL have gutted the budget for digital content so there's only so many assignments the journos can cover.

On top of that it's difficult to get this information out of all the QCup teams.

It's like herding cats.

You’d think they could do one allocation article if they are trying to push this Madge narrative.
 
I for one am very pleased to see Mozer, Semu and BTK plucked out of Souths. That was disastrous footy from that club the last few years and it looks to be getting worse.

It’s nice to see a good change up. I don’t think the last couple years has been anything tremendous for our pathways system. Players no real closer to the next level and been mostly relying on journeyman to do the next man up jobs. Apart from Karapani and Mariner under Burt of course which is why it’s exciting to see some change.

I was thinking yesterday that I'm seriously concerned about our middles.

After the starters we have Willison and Talty... but then what is after that?

We get 1 injury and Tawha will be expected to play 30-40 mins a game in the middle... OR it's Jhunt/BTK and that is it.

Semu is there, but are we throwing him into 30-40mins a game if we pick up 1 injury to a middle.

BTK is taking FOREVER to develop into a first grader... he debuted like 3yrs ago... they would've expected him to be pushing into the 17 this year, but he's injured yet again.

I love Talty, but he was playing NSW Cup this time last year and moved on a T&T midway through last year.

We are bare ****ing bones when it comes to middles... and we still have no one to replace Patty's ballplaying so he'll be playing huge minutes this year yet again.

That's up to the Broncos.

The Cowboys do a better job of keeping their fans in the loop.

At least the QRL are doing a better job with TLT. I presume it has something to do with the NSWRL database but there's so many gaps on their website.

I meant more so meant a competition wide article. They can write an article for 16 year olds and what there great nan fed there has been uncle for breakfast every week but the 4 nrl teams cannot advise one journalist of an allocation article competition wide? Heck even if its 2 weeks before the season I think its pretty poor that the whole squad has pretty much ended up at different clubs and we find out at TLT.

They're reliant on the NRL clubs to inform them and NRL clubs tend to leave it till the last minute and even then will have a change of heart pending on the circumstance.

If the QRL were flushed with cash and could expand the competition maybe they'd take better care of the digital component. As it stands they're fighting for survival while the NRL are trying to wash their hands of the competition.

Te Kura off the bench I don’t think that helps him, he takes too long to get into games. He’s not going to do anything with 20 minutes.

But bench in Cup is probably where he’s at.
 
Nio on the wing & Anderson in the centres how do they work that one out. I think we're prepared for Shibasaki to stay for a bit longer yet if this if we're persisting with giving very clear cut centres like him and Tupuse reps on the wing.
I hope Allen joins the team before kick off, he's finally in form (dickfingers aside) unleash the beast.
