On the Queensland Cup vs. New South Wales cup front.
The thing with NSW Cup is that it's largely an U/23s competition. There's a few exceptions with NRL contracted players, Ron Massey fill-ins etc. but there aren't too many veterans in the competition.
It appears a lot of them either go to Massey, local A grade or QCup to extend their career.
So the SG Ball/Jersey Flegg players have more opportunities.
Still, there has to be some concerns over players like Jett Bryce, Beni Allen and Michael Waqa struggling to even get a look in. Allen and Waqa had their shots and just don't appear to be at that level, Bryce can't crack the 17.
Now if the Broncos had their own team, I'd expect to see players like Jett Bryce, Bailey McConnell, Preston Cassidy, Brady Turner, Beni Allen etc. in QCup. However I'd also expect them to be a mid-range team and likely towards the bottom of all the NRL reserve grade sides.

On another note. Oliva Smith has left the dogs to come back up to QLD to family. Default 3 horse race. Hope it is us who gets him. I rate him highly.
