I wouldn't really care that he's left but the fact he was well liked by the playing group is a worry. Certainly looking from the box Madge looks so much calmer but behind the scenes maybe he is still full-on?

Madge looks like he is perpetually sitting on a cactus, I can’t even imagine him being relaxed. I could see players getting sick of madge after a while and as the defensive coach Teo was a different voice. They can find someone else to be a different voice, hopefully a more effective defensive coach too.

he is happy to say he literally called and spoke to teo today.
teo asked him not to go into specific details but was aloud to say it was due to a disgreement with maguire on how the footbal club is being managed / ran right now. and he couldnt continue to work with him when he is very against whataever it is Maquire has choose or is choosing to do this year.

so who knows. Whatever way you slice it its not a good look for maguire. with all the other whispers around already.

if we get flogged by the phins this game then imagine the noise that is going to come out.

you just one the premiership broke all sorts of records. and its 3 games in and you have to deal with your number one forward leaving the club and now you assistant coach quitting immediately.

I think Madge has doubled down on everything, while maybe the rest of the club expected that after winning they would be able to rest on their laurels for a while longer. He’s uncompromising and expects others to be the same way, it wears thin and some players may have been having a whinge to mum and teo voiced that to Madge and things got heated. I could understand if Madge interpreted that as undermining him and the culture he is trying to implement, particularly given the history between the two at souths.

yeah i dont know you dont just quit your job immediatly especially in a job you love if things are not pretty bad. no matter what you think of Teo something had to of gotten pretty bad for him to just instantly quit
 
It's really important to have Ass coaches who can be effective conduits between the head coach and the group.
I'm hoping Madge doesn't take over as defence coach as well but he clearly wasn't on board with Teo.
Fair enough too . 66 points in 2 games is abysmal.
You'll find out a bit about Teo in the next week or 2 when we'll see if he tries to tear the club down with media leaks although I'd expect he's been asked to sign an NDA.
 
Nothing good seems to come from these mini camps, maybe less time spent together is better? Give everyone a break from each other.
 
Tin foil hat on. He’s been talking to CONEHEAD and he’ll be a titan sooner rather than later.
He only re-signed at the end of last year, has something happened between then and now? More credit to the Haas story? Fk, so many questions.
 
Apparently Hannay was trying to get him to join him at The Titans our entire finals run and he was going to go but got caught up in the celebrations after the premiership so recommitted to The Broncos. I reckon Hannay and CONEHEAD have continued to be in his ear and he needed a way out so a blowup and making things ‘untenable’ was what he needed. He’ll be at the Titans within the month I reckon.
