Can I just give a huge shout out (as if they read this) to Josh rogers.

Hes a tall, old qld cup 5/8th who's never played hooker in his life... defensively he was unreal, and in attack he was serviceable for sure.

The fact no one is talking about him for me is a sign of how amazing a job he did. I would love to see him get a go at lock next week. Stuff it! He'd be better than shiba at centre at thr moment as well, and thats not even joking lol
 
I'm not as down as a lot of posters on young Bukowski as a lot of people on here. Maybe I had less expectations on his debut than others . But for a first hit out with his limited experience , I thought he handled himself ok. It was far from perfect but I definitely see promise and if brought through properly ( and he will be) he could be something special. Just give him time..

Mind blowing! Your full strength team nearly beat a team that came in with players the commentators had never heard of and lost more during, gutsy effort mate. What the ****! I mean most reasonable people knew JWH would be awful in this role but he is even worse than thought.

He definitely got a pass mark - especially in defence - but our attack lifted considerably when the kid came on, despite a couple of nervous mistakes. Was the right call by Madge.

Absolutely and it isn’t a once off. It seems he loves the Broncs so I don’t think he’ll be a flight risk. Last time he re-signed with very little fuss But would be nice locking him up longer term that’s for sure.

My concern is Jensen. He’s starting to get on and Barnett is no spring chicken either. Hopefully those two can hold on until our kids coming through are ready but Xman needs to be seen as the marquee now. He’s the guy to take us forward, he’s more than ready.

Jensen looks destined for the bench when (if) we get back to full strength ... I want Willison's impact off the bench, but we're getting next to nothing from Jensen starting at the moment.

They were never offside through out the game. Since they’re playing against Bronx, everything is fair.

That Shiba drag back to in goal after Jesse got bashed she’s penalty Toby’s as there were a min of 4 players offside but hey, it’s all fair. Fcuk you NSWRL & Annersley moron.
 
So much to like about that win.

Rogers, I thought was great against the Cowboys but feared if they knew he was going to be there it'd change the perspective a little this week. His defence was outstanding. He's done a very similar role for the Bears in 2018. Coming off the bench and filling in because he couldn't dislodge Fogarty. He stayed in his lane made his tackles and passed. That's an experienced Cup campaigner right there- tell me what to do and I will do it.

Rikki and Willison were great forward leaders; Rikki has stopped filling the Menzies role and come in and taken hit ups that his team needs. Willison was exceptional. His big levers were working overtime back to 2020 tackling.

Bukowski had a rough start but that 31 minutes was pretty much where he's at the moment. Showed a bit of attacking enterprise as he got more comfortable. I'd like to see Head leave him on when things are going wrong and let him problem solve. He gets dragged as soon as things go badly for Wynnum. He had to deal with that tough start and work through it I was worried Madge would give him 10 minutes and then bring Rogers back.

Mozer 24 minutes after 21 Cup games.
Bukowski 31 minutes after 29 Cup games.
