POST GAME [Round 9, 2026] - Broncos vs Roosters

First Broncos game in 25 years I didn’t watch last week because I can’t stand the state of the sport.

Felt guilty all week about it so tuned into this one.

Why did I bother? Go find something better to do with your time guys, rugby league is over.
Come over, I’ve got the diplomatico ready

Even in some of the highlights of their tries, you see the dangers of undersized middles. They got run over and end up on legs tackles which means you can't slow it down, and the next run is in space and against a retreating line.

In just those couple clips they showed it happening to both Gos and Talty, couple times both at once.

We just need some proper troops back up front. Manly won't be much different with Paseka and Haumole.

wtf I didn't say this 😂
Well from a defensive standpoint he does his job. He offers little offensively but at the same time he doesn't ever make an error and maybe dosent need to offer anything when you have players like Walsh around him.

I think shiba is just as much to blame for DCE try as mam and also the Rick defence that lead to the break. It was so bad across the board.
I think if we didn’t have as many injuries Mariner would be at centre and Shiba in Qcup. He’s just really slow this year. Maybe he should go to second row?

Hard tackling is one thing .
Elbowing blokes who are on the ground in the back of the head is another .

He may even be sanctioned by the judiciary for that rubbish .

Latrell does this 10 times a game and gets praised for his ‘passion’

bulldogs Chrichton does it 20 times a game and gets praised for his ‘leadership’

Paix has the engine but for me just doesn't offer anything special at all, blokes robotic asf. He is solid and gets the job done but I feel like almost every week I look at the opposition 9 and think wow they are so more creative. I don't know if it's even a bad thing he just doesn't offer anything exciting
His defence has improved out of sight since Madge came in. He does a lot of cleanup work which doesn't get noticed, very similar to Billy. I'd love for him to have a better pass, which he struggles with but he's all effort and I can see why Madge has persisted with him.

Also not that it lead to anything but just to highlight the absurdity of the officiating…

All year a one handed bat back in the air has been a penalty. Clear as day. We’ve seen important match-defining tries taken away because of one handed bat backs and games decided by penalties for them.

Tonight the Roosters did it twice. In the same tackle. No penalty.

Granted the rule is ridiculous and stupid in the first place but who seriously thinks this level of total incompetence at every level of the game is ok?

People pissed off at terrible reffing.
More injuries.
JayPee that dirty cowgirls shit stain deliberately trolling people in the match thread for the 100th time.
Staggs having a brain explosion.
Did I mention the farcical refereeing?
That is just a flat out lie.
