In Honour of Jordan Riki I will only be masturbating while I wear my white head gear.

Got to be shitting me.
I like Ben, have been a Talty enjoyer, and he has been a great find. But he has also struggled while needing to and being asked to do more with all our outs. There's a level these players can find, and maybe he was able to consistently go above that and offer us great value off the bench, but he (not unlike others in the squad to be fair to him) has struggled recently with the speed of the ruck. He was badly caught out the last couple weekends at marker a couple times, and one really bad one against the Wahs which ended up being a try.Yeah it sucks. The hope has always been we'll go on a run when the troops are back. Of course that doesn't include other troops going down.
I do think though questions need to be asked of Maguire why he won't go and buy a second rower. There has to be a second-row version of Talty somewhere out there.
Preferably with at least 1 more 50+ minute prop and a decent 2nd Rower.Got to be shitting me.
This year has been a complete joke. Write it off and start again in '27.

As much as I think Piakura is finally becoming a good player on the ground defensively, I doubt he'll ever play more than 2/3 of any season - through injury, concussion, suspension. Hunt and Jetski aren't it. We really need a gun 2nd rower who's happy to be injected off the bench into the middle at times and be fast enough to cover the edge for Piaks when he inevitably goes down.
While X-Man goes fine there, losing Haas means he's now absolutely critical to our prop rotation. If he goes down next year and old man Barnett can't carry the pack, we're going to need more than bog average 2nd rowers to fill in.
*edit - lol Brocko, sorry mate, wrote this, went for a coffee came back and posted. Great minds.
I think Semu can take a starter spot replacing Jensen .
Willison for Haas and Barnett in rotation . Doesn`t look as gloomy . But back ups def needed .
Agree with this... I think the forward pack reinforcements are the hardest thing to find from QCup / NSW Cup... the fitness required in the current game is absolutely insane.I like Ben, have been a Talty enjoyer, and he has been a great find. Maybe there is someone out there we can find, but them coming in and straight away being ready to play big mins in our backrow is a pipedream unfortunately, unless they are already a starting backrower in the NRL.
Agree, its a spot we need to be looking at though for depth, just think if we're concerned about either of Riki/Piakura long term, we probably need to go out and nab a starter from another club.

You're basically looking for a semi-professional footballer that is outside an NRL strength and conditioning program to stand up to fulltime NRL players.
For the middle rotation they can get subbed in and out so they might be needed for like 20-30 minutes a game... and defending is basically just keep moving and get your body in front of them.
For a backrower you're looking for someone that can do 30-50mins, but ideally you want them out there for 80mins to not **** the interchange... and you're probably looking at them because your front liners are injured/unavailable.
Backrowers are also in the hardest spot to defend and will have NRL halves and fullbacks running at them... or super athletic 110kg backrowers running crash lines.
They're just not going to get that kind of experience at reserve grade level
How does it prove it's not bias? What if the next 5 lines up are also the Broncos?View attachment 39625Pretty crazy when you think about it. This proves it isn't ref bias and somehow related to the massive injury toll id suggest
Apparently its a new jersey design though? Not sure how they make it better than last year.
Probably just the new logo.Apparently its a new jersey design though? Not sure how they make it better than last year.
But perfect timing - it was the same game against the Titans where we played with the black jersey which turned our season around....although not sure if that means we will lose to the Dragons then...
I like what we saw the past cpl of yrs in trials .
@1910 could he play 14 / small middle ? Or can he beef up and play edge ?
I like the competitiveness of the kid .
Including penalties adds another -10 to our tally. We've also conceded more penalties than any other team.Think if they included penalties we'd break that record too
Individual ref bias. I mean if you think the NRL gave all refs an edict to penalize us more than other teams you need to take your tin foil hat off, I think. How does it prove it's not bias? What if the next 5 lines up are also the Broncos?
