Well at this point, the players are basically just well paid, hugely fit, improv actors, the referee knows the script, he's got a tip sheet for each team about the best way he can move the game in a direction, the ref just goes with the flow, makes it up and tries to follow the script the best he can all while putting on an 'exciting' show for the 'fans'.
There is no accountability or analysis, after all it's just a show for the 'fans', an advertising platform for the broadcaster and money vacuum for the gambling companies.
Lets give credit where credit is due, Klown is a genius, he turned that game into a drama filled masterpiece, a story of epic proportions. Vlando couldn't be happier.
It had everything..................... the underdog forging a massive early lead, the favourites shitting the bed early then sort of fighting back but not really being up to the job, so the ref gets in there and evens up the playing field, throws in a few set restarts as you do, bippidy boppedy boo, the heroes step up and lift their team to a massive comeback to snatch the game in the final minute.......it's a fairytale story, so epic right?
It's no longer a sport or competition my friends, its just a weekly scripted drama filled stage show.
