POST GAME 2026 State of Origin

Might be a bit of a conspiracy theory, but here goes. N(SW)RL wants Cleary to be 'ta best eva!!!!' and because he hasn't dominated origin, its the last bit he needs in his legacy to "become tha greatest....immortal'. So they are trying to do everything in their power to give all the awards and praise to Clearly, before his contract and up and may retire/quite NRL in the next few years (when his father retires).

Yes, Cleary played well in the final 10-15min when they had all the momentum and we were down a player, however he was outplayed by the majority of players in both teams for the first 65min. How can he be MotM for a 10m period. IMO, a QLD player should have been awarded it or if not, could have gone to someone like Teddy or Strange.

Have you not been listening to my TED talks?

Happy for cobbo. Back doing cobbo things, tough carries from yardage, tackle busts, running through holes and getting dragged over the sideline.. vintage

I thought so too. His carries were massive and helped us avoid getting pinned in our own end. Genuinely surprised with how well he went under the high ball. But then, right when we needed to value possession, he tries to run around a player on the outside, near the sideline, in the rain. Vintage.

Why won’t they see me?

With or without League, I still value this community. Doesn’t mean I have to stop talking to people who I enjoy talking to just because I fell out of love with the game of league. 🤷‍♀️

Over the last 20 years, I can count on two hands how many games of league I’ve actually missed. Kayo is gone, I can always watch a replay of Broncos games on YouTube somewhere, I don’t need it any more.

I haven't watched since early last year. I love Origin, but I don't watch that anymore. I can't stand the way the rules and refs influence games anymore that they become no contests.

I still post and here though because I love it, and I hope you keep posting as well @Broncosgirl

The media are now trying to sell the fact that this game puts to bed any thoughts that Cleary can't dominate Origin.

I believe they even gave him man of the match (but only because they can't give it to Klein)

You didn't watch out finals run last year!?! Bro. 😞

I promise that is at least worth the watch.

no charges for Ponga, just a fine lol.
There was a charge, but it seems like there's different rules for rep games now.

"A grade two charge would ordinarily have seen Ponga banned for two games in the NRL, but a change to the judicial code in rep games means the superstar fullback only has to pay 23 per cent of his match fee with an early guilty plea."

To me it's very similar to Walsh in the Grand Final, same part of the field too.

A sin bin and on report would have been appropriate last night. Then if he gets a week, I have no issue with it, but it didn't require immediate action- that's for deliberate foul play.

4/7 Origin send offs now are Klein.

Queensland's first 25 minutes was outstanding; Walker was doing Walker stuff like it was 2019. Even Sam's defence was outstanding.

Cobbo would have gone close to MOTM if Qld win. He was great.

Queensland's defence just picked up where it left 2025. I don't think Qld did much wrong at all and I can see them winning that game 28-12 or something minus the sendoff. It was very simple, even when NSW got the momentum in the second part of the first half they could only put on one try.

I've always liked Ponga but I feel like this was unforgivable from him as it pretty much cost us the game. Like obvious it's not a send off but his carelessness cost QLD the game. It's far worse than someone dropping the ball for example but not blamed as much. Hopefully Walsh improves his form and gets picked instead. I realise I've already said it last night but I still feel like that with a more clear head I guess.

Yeah so club's aren't punished for things you do in rep football, only grade three of higher get suspensions.

Ponga's fine will be about 7k.

Put on the Bloke in a Bar podcast they did post game and Reni and Blake start with 100% it had to be a send off . Beak hesitates for 3 seconds then goes along with them I only lasted that 2 minutes before switching it off, so no idea what shit followed.

This is on the back of the show blowing so much smoke up PVL’s arse in the previous show it makes your skin crawl.
