POST GAME [Round 20, 2026] - Broncos vs Panthers

Oh so now we're limiting results to one particular coach? So no longer "there is not a single coach in the game" - but now a single coach? Talk about changing the goal posts.

Sure, they lost 8 games. But watching those games, it wasn't Munster solely to blame for their woes, the whole team was playing like shit and they were chopping and changing players regularly, particularly in the middle and on the edges.

ARey has been dogshit for months with the odd good game. He's frequently hobbling and struggling to get through games. His kicking was back to a good standard early in the year but went off a cliff again. We basically have to permanently hold a bench spot free to bring in a half to cover for him as he's either been injured in and struggled on, or come off injured in half the games he's played this year.

Compare that to a 32 year old Munster who played like shit for two months at the start of the year and has started to find some form as the year progressed. Hasn't had the injury woes. Still has several good years left and went on to captain QLD.

Adam's gotten worse, not better.

NAS isn't Munster, but he sure as shit got dropped by Bellyache for not performing and was on probably the same or more than what ARey's on this year.

Hasler dropped FiFi, one of the highest paid players in the NRL.

and also:

"Bellamy, widely rated as one of the best coaches in history"

Who is the master coach? Who again? Bennett. He's the master coach. I went straight to the top for my example.
The same master coach who went out and signed another million dollar forward when he has a 70kg rookie half back and a 37 year old 5/8 who isn't even signed for next season and no guarantee to stay on? They were trying to sign Ben Hunt for god's sake lmao, the same Hunt ppl on this forum think is totally passed it and not worth the sub-300k contract he's getting from us next season.

The more Wayne coaches on the more I believe the Sydney based fans who say he's always been overrated and has been carried by elite squads.

I think it was planned that Reece do most of the kicking. Reyno is underdone but can still defend. Even with his poor form we shouldnt be niaive and think hes forgotten how to play football. Hes still the most knowledgeable player in our team and our most experienced.

He also deserves to go out the way he wants. The bloke rescued our club from the brinks of hell and we should send him out as the respected club legend he is.
100%. Let’s not forget he can still turn it up on occasion. Reyno gets the season no matter what. I do think we’d go better with Dufty but Reyno deserves it.

I'm not sure this is EXACTLY what's being argued. How many of these stars were dropped the year after a premiership and the year they were retiring? Those players were dropped so they can be kicked in the ass and come back, if we drop Reynolds now what does it show? That the club doesn't care about what a player has done for the club. It's unfortunate because I believe he should be dropped, but it's not good man management to drop the premiership halfback just before he retires. And no coach worth a damn is dropping that player in their team either, because man management is bloody important.
Not sure Reece would agree with this perspective. Wonder if others in the playing group are feeling the same?

Team mgmt is tied to man mgmt. Allowing someone to play unfit, dragging the team down, isn't helping the team or their attitude.

Waynes a senile geriatric now. These were prime time wayne calls.

Not dealing with underperforming team members just drags down the entire team to that standard.

Dropping players isnt always the answer. Reyno/hunt would be the most respected players at the club. Would have big voices in the playing group, dropping either of them isnt a great idea.

Nobody is a bigger Billy walters fan than me! Madge wont change a winning side but the weakest link in my eyes is Mam. If bill comes into the side, its got to be for mam

Really? Mam wasn't lighting the world on fire but he was so far ahead of what Ben Hunt or ARey produced on Thursday. Not even a close comparison.

His attack was not up to scratch, but his effort plays were. Kick chases. Defense (ironic as it's normally his weakness) and link plays were good.

His lone kick wasn't great and didn't appear to worry the defenders much when running.

Yet... was better than the errors and killed plays from Reynolds and the boat anchor perfomance from Hunt.
