Old Boys' chairman Chris Johns calls time on Seibold, White and Morris:

“Everything has to be axed at the Broncos. Sack all the key decision-makers. This is not a shock to me. The club has lacked leadership for years and now these results are crystallising it. The Broncos need to start planning for next year right now. This season is gone, it’s done. We can’t make the finals."

“They need to get the foundations fixed now. If you try and build a mansion on poor foundations, the whole thing will collapse. The foundation in the NRL starts with the chairman and the CEO. Move aside, get a new board, get a new CEO, a new recruitment bloke and then you can start building the house again.”

Shakey gets it

“That performance (against the Tigers) was shocking. They are clueless. To lose 48-0 to the Wests Tigers in the wet, the whole club is broken, fix things at the top and then you will see regeneration. Every time something goes wrong, Seibold throws up an excuse. He whinges about injuries. Did you hear Canberra whinge the other night when they had seven guys out and they beat the Roosters without Josh Hodgson?"

“The bosses are all sitting around wondering who the problem is when they are the problem. Stop putting band-aids on the place. If Paul White sacks Seibold, that’s the fourth coach after Ivan Henjak, Anthony Griffin and Wayne Bennett. When is it time to say it’s not just the coach’s problem, it’s the entire organisation? The whole front-office and the coach should be sacked. Clean the whole place out and start again."

“Everything will be a band-aid measure until they clean the entire joint out. The Broncos players should go into a private camp for the rest of the season to get their act together. They should go without kids and partners, dig in for 10 weeks and have a crack.”

Even Darius would have the balls to sack himself:

“It was disappointing, it’s unacceptable, it’s not good enough. It’s hard being out there as a player and tossing up some of the performances that we are, myself included. Sometimes we feel lost on where to go next. You can cop a loss, but when you lose by 30-plus points consistently then you really need to look at some changes and I don’t know what that is.”

Yeh get Chris Johns and Ribes back to fix the joint its a fuckin b grade schemozzel at present. Porky Morgan would be nailing a few of them up if he was still around.

I think it is at the point where you need Kevvie to get the old boys back on board who are vocal against the club. It shows the club is listening and he will help restore what it means to play for the jersey at least. It doesn’t matter if he is the long-term coach, they need to get back the identity of the Broncs first and foremost and worry about fine-tuning far later.

An intellectual giant.

"This season is gone, it’s done. We can’t make the finals." So, it's all about making the finals, that's all that counts in a team that is going through a major rebuild, however badly? Right. Of course. Myopia is the answer. Methinks Johns is suffering from what ails Tallis - a few too many brickwalls to the cranium

"They should go without kids and partners, dig in for 10 weeks and have a crack.” Really. The same crack he's on on?

The pandemic is already messing with everyone's mental and emotional health and well being and Johns recommends players go without precisely what people need to stay sane? What a dick.

As for Darius's comment, of course he knows the answer, the changes necessary. Bring back papa. Or do anything as long as it doesn't involve any effort on his part to contribute, to make an effort.

Cmon Darius contributed the other night. He fed a scrum.

Chris Johns for CEO

**** no ...

he has been butthurt and has been undermining Seibs and the Broncos every step of the way since his mate miss out on the job ...

if he was CEO, he would do everything in his power to make it all be about jobs for the boys, even if they aren't what is best for the club. a perfect example of this is that he hasn't called for Lockyers sacking, despite the fact that he had just a big of an influence on seibs getting the job as White or Morris did ... the only difference is that Lockyer is a club legend from his playing days.

I'm not saying that Locky should or shouldn't be sacked from the board, i'm just pointing out Johns hypocrisy and his philosophy of jobs for the boys

Get rid of Murdoch too, some rich bugger or syndicate should buy out News Corps' shares and privatise the Broncos. No need to answer to shareholders.
This is probably our clubs biggest downfall, we have all the resources but we are ball and chain to this crap.

I'm really just saying that I like that he has called for sweeping changes :)

But actually, although he did not name Locky, he did say get a whole new board, and Locky is on the board, so I'm not so sure he isn't calling for Locky's head

"Move aside, get a new board, get a new CEO, a new recruitment bloke and then you can start building the house again "

Can't argue against that strategy
