It’s very interesting that most of the changes NSW have made are in the forwards. It seems like an admission that we were better there. I think our pack is better this week and our bench is better than they have. They are really relying on Walker to spark their attack and the centres to improve.
Nah @broncsgoat has a point. If the kid had any style at all he would have turned around, palmed off Tupou and gone on a weaving cross field run through the chasing defence and put the ball down under the posts.
I would drop Hess and move Tino to the edge and start Arrow at lock. We looked much better when Arrow was out there and NSW will come out breathing fire next week. Mo or Carrigan to the bench. Neither one would let us down.
I wrote a paper about this a while ago and it’s kind of tricky. The treaties have been helpful up to a point but they are also routinely ignored by Settler societies when they are inconvenient. Interesting thing about The Treaty of Waitangi is that the Maori version and the English version are...
I don’t understand why you emphasise unity so much. The aim of multiculturalism is not (or should not be) to take many cultures and absorb them into one unified whole. The aim is to have many cultures respectfully co-exist. Of course when these cultures share the same territory and rules then...
Congrats to Coates. I am a bit surprised but it’s a massive achievement for a guy so young. Obviously there are some pretty good judges who rate him highly. Hope he enjoys the experience and comes back to us keen to tear it up.
Bummer about Carrigan but no doubt he’ll get a shot at some time in...
It’s more like when we break up you can’t move in with my brother because:
a/ I don’t want to have to see you at family Christmas lunches.
b/ I don’t want you telling my brother about how I am scamming/borrowing from our parents.
Why are we only looking at free agents? Players who aren’t off contract are changing clubs and clubs are dumping players that are still contracted. We should be targeting players rather than reviewing leagues club revenue streams.
We
threw development players in because we had an unprecedented injury list. Hopefully with different training and medical staff that won’t happen again.
I don’t expect one player to turn it around but I also don’t think having a better balance of mediocrity across the squad is going to get us...
It pisses me off that we are wasting time reviewing the bistro options at the leagues club while the very few decent players available are signing elsewhere. It really shows that on field performances are not the top priority for this club anymore.
