OFFICIAL Jack Bird released to the Dragons

Just pointing out that it is useless for anyone to try to argue with you about anything remotely Sharks related.
That's just it. It's not Sharks related but you are trying to make it so. It's not even remotely related. The fact he had a couple seasons there has no bearing on my opinion that context for a statement has to be considered.

Edit: No personal attacks and no comments about religion outside of the designated thread.

I agree with jack's statements. Clearly paying him $158k + per game he played was not supporting him. Or over 10 times the average annual wage to do rehab is not supportive enough.

Seriously jack? What an example of the toxic sense of entitlement league players have these days. **** this clown. If players have this attitude, clear the fucking deck. I rather support a losing team of players who have enough insight into how blessed they are to play footy as a career.

Go work in a fucking normal job where you get paid shit and workers comp laws are piss poor jack and then find out how much a company actually supports its injured workers in the real world.

I did previously empathise with jack as he had no control over the injuries, but he has control over his attitude, and this is how he wants to act? **** him and the rheumatic horse he came in on.

kinda feel it was always destined to end like this...

The coach that brought you to the club leaves, and whatever plans he had for Bird went with him....it happens...

And now I'm hearing some figures being bandied around as to how much freight this cost us. Again, the only realistic way this could have happened...

But for arguments sake, say its $400K freight, then Macca comes back and wants his $600K a season.....thats $1 million

So, explain to me again just how this move has opened ANY cap space at all...? Disclaimer; im just as in the dark about how much of Birds salary we are covering in this deal as anyone else...

You can only hope that the idiots didn’t spend Maccas money this year because they were waiting to confirm he would not be back before reallocating it.

We have Boyd, Fifita, Kahu, OSullivan and Bird gone so far. You would hope that after upgrades there is still half a million there?

I'm sure you probably think that, but there is an undeniable trend going on with anything that has any remote connection to the Sharks. Consider my warnings a public service in the interests of the greater good. No one should take any of your patronising bullshit to heart on anything Shark related, because you simply can't have an impartial view on it. Don't attempt to argue with you, if possible don't even engage unless you want to cop a face full of insults. End of transmission.

So glad to see the back of the leach. If he had left us with an attitude more akin to someone who was disappointed they were not able to pay back some of the millions he clawed in for dong next to nothing I'd let it go. But, to come out and bag the club on his way out the door just shows how clueless and classless you need to be to make the grade as a Shark.

What did he say on his way out ?

You want to believe there's some sort of trend but nobody should be surprised as you're the easily led type. You'll believe literally anything and lack critical thinking skills.

Only you are making some weird connection to the Sharks. Aside from the fact Bird once played for the Sharks I cannot see any connection to my view that 'people should not unquestioningly swallow whole that which is reported in the media'. How has that got something to do with Cronulla?

Edit: Keep insults out of it.

99% of the responses about Bird come from people who think they know what was said. Big Pete seems to have a much clearer understanding. Hell, you might even call it factual!!!

Okay, that is service,@Morkel you are on return, we have linespeople, an umpire and ballpersons all in place, we will just sit in the stands with our popcorn and watch the rally unfold.

Did I mention that it seems as though it is going to be a really, really long off-season.

Just briefly back on topic, I thought Bird's comments were a bit out of order, but perhaps he operates differently to me. I would have thanked the club and their fans for their support and helping him through the injuries. I would have also made the point that it has not worked out the way that he wanted and left it at that.
