What that means then is that this is all a smokescreen for something juicy that went down but powerbrokers in the NRL and media are trying to bury.
Has the Ponga situation suddenly gone quiet?
My guess is that they'll have any players with PNG heritage exempt from the cap, and then the full cap that every other team has to recruit non-PNG players as well. It's the easiest way to get them to have a decent contingent of PNG players but still being competitive.
But as @Browny said...
Warriors won't give up their home game against us during Origin.
My guess would be Bulldogs as the "home" team if the Sea Eagles pull out. They've always been out in numbers when their team play in Brisbane. Also probably the most feral supporters but whatever.
He said he wants a premiership. Out of the likely contenders TPJ is now down to the Roosters and Panthers (again).

That Storm fullback with the drop before the kick, rightly being called a knock-on, just proves once again the "doesn't need to be attempting a field goal" drop-kick for that Storm try years ago was just another "only time this interpretation will ever be used, because it's against the Broncos"...
So, with Cleary being injured, do the NRL suspend him for a hip drop, knowing he's on the sidelines anyway? He's been off the field enough to likely rule him out for any Daly M contention, so the 2 week suspension ineligibility rule won't worry them.
Girdler marvelling at how, after Dogs have been so dominant, the Panthers are able to turn momentum and score. Apparently he can't hear the same whistle, "penalty, six again, six again, penalty, six again, THEY MIGHT NOT NEED THIS SIX AGAIN HE MIGHT BE OVER" that those of us listening can hear...
The Panthers have the winning formula. The 5 equally important ingredients are:
* A halfback
* Some outside backs
